Earlier today our electricity went out for like a minute and came back on. Ever since then our Wii will not turn on and will do nothing. Before this happened it was working fine. Did that fry it or something? Anyone have any ideas or am I just going to have to buy a new one?

What was it? We just bought a Wii a few months ago. Some kind of reset button?

Had to reset the power cord. I had unplugged it all before, but I guess I did not leave it long enough. Said it had to be unplugged from the Wii and the power outlet for at least 2 mins.

To Bump this thread, I just got Netflix on Wii, and if I go to play a movie and it retrieves, it's like 15 minutes in, it says retreiving again, then go and get that again and so on.

Is that because it's on Wii, because I was at my cousins and they have Netflix on PS3 and they had no problems. I am also wondering if it's the internet service and if it is could change, and it's wireless.

Any info would be helpful.

I guess it wouldn't be retreiving, it would be call downloading, does anybody have Netflix on WII and does it take them forever to download and does it start to do that about a couple minutes in.

I've never used Wii with Netflix but that sounds like an internet speed issue.

I ran over the cord for the ocular receiver thing with the vacuum and snapped it in half. I hope I can just wire nut it back together. I don't play this thing enough to want to go buy a new one.
