I think Jeremy Soule is my favorite composer that I've listened to. His work on Skyrim is absolutely epic. It's Academy Award level stuff.

Also love the Bioshock soundtrack. Gary Schyman is great.

It's amazing how soundtracks now are actually fully orchestrated...growing up in the 8 bit age, it's a marvel.

On all games mute music is the first thing I find.

I love video game soundtracks. Some of my favorites at the moment...

Assassins Creed 2 - Home In Florence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mn_PIAh72A (Love the part that starts at 2:50)

Mass Effect 3 - The End Once And For All: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5JvbD2Zc9I

Mass Effect 2 - Suicide Mission: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2z28mutY1E

All of the Uncharted soundtracks are really good.

My guy!!!

Jeremy Soule is the greatest thing Iowa has ever exported. I loved the music in Oblivion...and then Skyrim took it to a whole new level...

Video game soundtracks are a staple of my daily listening routine.

Mega Man 2 had the best soundtrack. I still listen to it on occasion. 3 had some good tracks like Snake Man stage.

Yeah, that's really good stuff too...Davidge really impressed me with the work he did for Halo 4

Now that the Halo seal has been broken...

Halo 4 - To Galaxy
Halo: Reach - Winter Contingency
Halo 3 - One Final Effort

Picked To Galaxy because it was the perfect way for Davidge to enter the Halo scene...the intro makes some references to the classic theme but then it takes off into it's own thing...which is pretty great.

Winter Contingency is a beast and I wouldn't say all 12 minutes or so are amazing, but the first song in that suite, "The Battle Begins," is a recurring theme throughout the game and gives me chills every time I hear it.

One Final Effort is probably my favorite version of the classic Halo theme. There are many other versions I like but it's not a fair fight because this features a nice piano track taking the lead.

The Skyrim soundtrack is pretty much perfect for this weather we are having, too.

I always forget about how good that track is because it's so deep into the soundtrack (I think it's at the end of the third disc) and I don't listen to it nearly enough...so thanks for the reminder. 8)

"bubble man" is awesome...yeah, great stuff. i have about an hour and a half of NES music on my iTunes.

lipid, no problem. it's like a 3 hour long soundtrack...i wonder how long it took to record all of that music, let alone write it.
