hoping someone here can help me out.

we bought an xbox one for xmas. had a 360. downloaded advanced warfare but when try to access xbox live, get a message that "xbox one is better with gold". we have a membership already. tried entering a 14 day trial code in case membership had expired and get message saying already have membership. But when we hit "no thanks" on the code screen, get the message "the current profile is not allowed to play on xbox live".

any help?

It's fixed. His account had expired and he was trying to use a trial code he had from a game he bought. I guess those don't work with existing accounts. Bought a new code and all is good.
