For years, the TV industry claimed this was the best week for TV sales, before the Super Bowl. Not sure that still holds true as I would think the weeks before the holidays wins, but for a single week? Anyone buy a TV in the last 2 weeks?

I bought my big tv during the Bears' playoff/Super Bowl run in January 2007. It's still going strong today.

Bought my current TV about 3 years ago. 46" Samsung. It's been a great TV and I'd probably get another
Samsung in the future. It appears I can buy the equivalent TV today for about 35% less than I paid.

I bought a 55" Samsung smart TV with built in browser and a keyboard at Costco a few years ago. Love it. I'm going to look at the UHD-TV 4K samsung soon.

As TVs have become cheaper, easier to carry and we have more of them, maybe this tend has changed. I did get emails from Best Buy and Mirco center today pushing TV deals. Guessing they still have someone there pushing the 'ITS SUPER BOWL WEEK"

Why bother with 4K when there's nothing being produced in it?

I always figured for the big week of buying tvs is this week, a week before the NFL Season, possibly around College Basketball tournament starts and add to that when that is about the time stores try to get rid of last month's inventory and people get tax refunds.

tax time in general is a great time to buy tv's. the new models are hitting shelves and you can always find good deals on last years models.

We were going to buy on when the Bears were in the Super Bowl but ended up not doing it. We bought one the next year in March.

I have a 65 inch Mitsubishi that will be 12 years old in April.

About 2-3 years ago, I bought a 46 inch LED Westinghouse which has a fantastic picture. I also have a 32 inch Westinghouse which is 8 years old and works great.
