I have seen a few threads mentioning Metroid and Super Metroid but have yet to see one about Metroid Other M.


I love this series though I haven't played any of the FPS versions.

Some background:

This game comes into play just after Super Metroid and will fill in story line gaps from Prime and the later.

I've only played for a short while, but have yet to get used to the controls and having to use the wii-mote to AIM - I fuckin' hate it actually.

Damn gimmicks!!!.

Has anyone else played this? What are you thoughts? Try to keep spoilers out?

I bought the first metroid game for the wii for like 15 bucks used at game stop and only played it for like 2 hours before I got tired of having to aim the wii mote at the screen in order to shoot anything. You have to sit in an odd way to brace your arms off your legs because after awhile your accuracy starts to go form holding your hands out in one place for so long. Love the metroid games but I would rather pull out my SNES and play Super Metroid than any of the wiimote pointing crap.

You mean Metroid Prime, right?

If I'm not mistaken, can't you use the Gcube controller with it? I would much rather use the controller than hold my hand up for hours on end. So I definitely agree with you there. I still have yet to play those - I even bought a Gcubt just to play Prime....and never did - fail on my part!

I was never really big into Metroid...pretty sure I finished the first one but nothing after that...I've heard mixed reviews of the new one...not like the near universal acclaim the Prime titles had...

Everything I've read/heard is that this game sucks.
