Once again, RTTS can accurately be described as a standing on 3rd base with less than 2 outs watching your teammate strike out simulator.

Hank, the damn Detroit tigers who traded for me and proceeded to go into tank mode, did it to me every day off they gave me. When my contract ran out I refused to negotiate with them because damn it, I'm not a catcher.

But seriously, I had a season where my batting average was higher than on base. You don't walk out of Bureau county apparently.

Called up to the Marlins as a 3B and they have 5 catchers and therefore no other position players on the bench. Guess I'll be starting everyday. Wish stamina wasn't kind of a dumb system.

So in a truly Marlins-y move I was traded by them immediately after winning the WS. Was the 3rd best player on the team behind Stanton and Yelich. Went to Boston at least so that's cool. Saved it and went back to the previous save and see where else I could end up. Next was the Cardinals. Fuck that. Was tempting though since they singed Bryce Harper who is a 99 ovr and would be batting behind me.

I just got called up to the Rockies. I spent a full season in AA and then 2 months in AAA before a season ending injury.

So I'm just beginning my third season and my statistics are probably lowish for MLB. I had recently gotten bumped up to Hall of Fame+ (dynamic difficulty) so I'm likely to get shredded.

I am a SS converted to LF on this RTTS player.

I'm on June 29, 2019 and I was checking statistics around the league. Kyle Schwarber has a 1.000% FLD.

Went back to the pre-trade save. Boston was DHing me against righties and I need that sweet fielding xp. I was the defending gold glove winner, you can sit old and busted Kung Fu Panda's ass.

Picked it up again. Started an outfielder up and was drafted by Astros. First year in AA struggling with a .265 average with two walks as of mid July. If I was pitching to me it's curveballs in dirt. Oh well, power is starting to show so hopefully ops works its way up.

The Strike Zone batting view cam seems like cheat mode once you get used to it. I've doubled my walks and halved my strikeouts after switching to it on All-Star difficulty.

I wish Diamond Dynasty had more vs CPU options other than whatever that takeover the nation mode is. I'd love to get more into DD, but I despise playing online games.

Might look into that camera view. Ks aren't bad, but I make too much bad. Intact on pitches I shouldn't swing at. Got called up to AAA end of season and now am in spring training. Uhm.. after first at bat they shoulda sent me home. Welcome to the show Drunk.

I won't play in line games. Just not into it.

I finally unlocked the Coors Field perk and boy howdy does it rule. I started a season with ~79 power (vs R and L) and hit 15 HRs in 600 ABs. Before the post season started I finally notched it up to 85 PWR and unlocked it. Put in on and then I hit 8 HR in 14 games in the playoffs. I figured it'd be pretty minor and probably not worth it, was I wrong. Although maybe in a few days I'll post again saying things are back to normal and it sucks.

I don't understand perks. What is the Coors Field perk?

I know how to use equipment on my RTTS player, but don't understand some of the other things.

They're the things on the right on the rtts training screen. You have 120 points and 3 slots to stick various perks in. The Coors field perk becomes available with 85 PWR and says something like "Coors field environment in every stadium." There's perks to make runners steal, guarantee a meatball, guarantee a fly ball or ground ball if you hit it, guarantee every pitch in at bat is in the strike zone, etc... Pitchers have them too.

Okay, so those. I have the one that guarantees a flyball. I used it with a runner on third and less than 2 outs about 5 times... infield popup EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

So I have not purchased or used any since.

Yeah, I had that and had nothing but weak pop ups too. The guaranteed strike on every pitch in an at bat is good as well as the speed one that causes errors.

I'm trying to draw more walks, not less!

I actually have an OBP 50 points higher than my BA currently. I am amazed.

Bump, just had a question if people are still playing this, I looked and didn't find much, is there a way like you can do with other sports games, to download the new rosters, even though you can do some of it yourself, still a little easier when others do it.

Look for the Operation Sports (OSFM) rosters in the vault, they have full minor league rosters. You can probably sort by total downloads and they'll be at the top. They have different versions during the year like opening day and post trade deadline, so the most recent one is probably what you want. There are historical and other types of databases too, if that's your thing
