Glad it worked for you. I signed up to be notified when they were back in stock and the 2 times before this they were in for maybe an hour before they sold out and I was never notified. They must have been available for at least 8 hours yesterday but they're out again. Still wasn't notified they were in stock.

We picked one up at the walmart.

The only complaint that I have about the system is that it crashes more frequently than the ps3 ever did for me, and that is with downloaded games as well as disc games. I would say for every 4-6 hours of gameplay it crashes...

Going to send mine back for a replacement. Getting the flashing blue light thing at least once a day, while a combination of unplugging cords and waiting usually fixes it, I doubt it will get better over time. Hopefully it will last until after New Years at least, as I'd like to have it while I still have days off.

That sucks...been reading about that going around for some people...hopefully the second one is all good.

I may be so distraught when I return it that I accidentally put a sixaxis 3 controller back in there instead of a DS4.

This is why you never buy a system at launch. Always wait at least a few months till they get the bugs worked out.

Why? I still get a system that works, I just can't play it for a week. Beats not playing it for months. If you wanted to say you should wait because the launch titles blow, sure.

With the crappy launch titles coupled with the usual problems you get from the first run of consoles I just don't see the benefit to getting one early. Still plenty of life left in PS3. Personally, I'd rather wait 6 months and know I'm getting a good system with good games available as opposed to getting one now and hoping everytime I turn it on it doesn't crap the bed. Not to mention the lack of good games at this point.

But that's just me, I'm never an early adopter of anything, like to take my time.

Booyah. Called amazon and they told me to send back just the console for a replacement. They sent back a whole system so I got the extra controller anyway along with everything else.

i agree 100% with your statements.... but i still got a launch ps4 because i'm an avid battlefield fan and 64 player bf4 was to tempting to pass up.. if not for that game i wouldnt have a ps4 right now

One of my Sons wanted a PS4 for XMas, but since they were impossible to find he had resigned himself to the fact that he will have to wait until after XMas when they become more readily available. A coupe of weeks before XMas Mrs. Scorehead, my Daughter & I are in the Meijers store on 59 in Aurora & I was heading towards the electronics section to ask if they have any PS4's but I know no one has them so I skip it. About 5 minutes later someone makes an announcement on the store PA system that says "attention shoppers, we just received a shipment of 7 PS4 gaming units in the electronics department. We high tail it to electronics & grab one for $399. Needless to say my Son was shocked XMas morning.

They each have their pros, but the PS3 is more of a complete media center. The PS4 tries to monetize too many features that should be throw in extras.

I'll get a ps4 but not now.

Your sports choices are FIFA, Madden, NBA 2K, and NBA Live (EA's new and shitty game). Don't think any of them are anything more than PS3 ports.

How's everyone liking the PS4 thus far? Positives? Negatives? I didn't want to get one at release but am considering it now.
