For me, the kids do not have any music players other than the TV, so I am hoping this will allow them to listen to music.

Make sure and check what music is available. I'm sure Amazon wants you to purchase their music system so choices might be limited.

I do have a library with them, and they just started a streaming service. Both kids are under 3yrs old, so probably more like kids music for them. I appreciate the warning.

They let you connect to any streaming service you want (Amazon, Pandora, Spotify). Amazon's streaming service is nice because 1. It's free with Prime and 2. You can choose to listen to stations, songs, or full albums.
