Does anyone else play DCS? I purchased the F-14A and F/A-18C add-ons and have to say it's quite addicting. Very easily the most realistic combat flight sim I have come across.

Finally got a proper HOTAS and TrackIR set-up for this game. It's night and day difference when you have TrackIR, especially with a missile that has a look and lock feature such as the AIM-9X

If anyone wants to get into this game and has trouble deciding upon a module to add-on (they can cost $100 each), pick the F/A-18C as it's the one that gives you the most options. It opens up just about every mission type as it's a true jack of all trades aircraft. You get land and carrier operations with it. You can fly CAP, CAS, SEAD, or Strike and you have a wide variety of compatible armaments available on the aircraft

I got a VR headset and upgraded my graphics card along with adding an F-16 module. I've now invested roughly 2 grand into this game between the HOTAS, card, modules, and a few MFD screens and have zero regrets. The Viper has such a tough learning curve due to all of the systems so it takes probably 6-8 months to master a module before you are able to really get into a server with competent players and have a chance of surviving.
