Square have said once the main series gets back to universal critical acclaim...they will look into it.

So in other words...please PLEASE buy Final Fantasy XV, which should be announced at E3.

It can still suck and plenty of diehards would still buy it.

I'm too lazy to google, but any word about them possibly remaking FF Tactics? 2nd favorite FF game.

The long-awaited HD remake of Final Fantasy X will include a copy of sequel Final Fantasy X-2 on the disc on PlayStation 3. On Vita, the two games will be sold separately.

According to a report from Gematsu (via Eurogamer), the news was confirmed in Japanese magazine Shonen Jump, and Final Fantasy X HD is due in 2013. Both X and X-2 will be bundled with content originally included in the international edition of each game.

Final Fantasy X HD was announced at TGS in 2011 but wasn’t seen for over a year. Recently, footage of HD character models was revealed during Sony’s Vita Heaven event.

It's unclear if X-2 will be mastered in HD as well, but we've reached out to Square Enix for comment and will update with any comment we receive.

Not gonna lie, I spanked it a couple times to the Hot Springs scene.

I'm sure there was a PSP version.

Yeah, I just beat it a month ago.

Much better than the original...the added scenes / battles and correct translations helped make it a ton more sense.

I'm ashamed to say that I received FF:Tactics for my birthday many, many, many years ago and I have never once booted it up....

Ramza was a beast mode monk in the PS1 version.

Orlandu was god mode out of the box, or a decent Calculator at least. Was only a bit tough at the beginning when all you had was chemists and squires. I've replayed it over 10 times, like 80 hour save replays, it's still my favorite PS game, liked it much better than VII.

Couple Lancers to just be in the air to avoid damage. Master Calc. Just with Cloud wasn't Level 1 when you find him and his Limit Breaks didn't suck...having to use the buster sword

Are you going to give X-2 another chance, or just masturbate through X? I tell you, X-2 was a very underrated game.

I've beaten it twice...what do you mean another chance?

I enjoy the combat system...never had much negative to say about it. I just wish the style / theme of the game fit better within the world they built with FFX.

And I cannot stand that they changed the best Final Fantasy ending.

FFX ended perfectly.

Stories shouldn't always have to be 100% rosey.

This is America. We like our endings very ROSEY. Love it or leave it.

Just fucking say Tidus already. I could understand in FFX it not being possible...but anyone playing FFX-2 is simply invested in the story...and the dude's name is Tidus.

:?: Not familiar w/ that name. Sorry. The main character's name in FFX is Vagina.

It's really fun to do w/ Gau in VI, since he likes to speak in 3rd person.

Sephiroth was the scariest character I've ever come across.

My source? I quoted from the most popular video game blog on the internet. They aren't going to fret over a typo on the name of some Japanese website.

That shit is okay for the Sun-Times, but the internet has more integrity, my friend.

Came out in Japan yesterday...watching a livestream now...hard to really judge this, because the stream can sometimes make the graphics look duller than they actually are, but I'm not horribly impressed with the graphics...the characters look "blurry" for lack of a better term...of course, not sure what I'm expecting from an up-res'd remake...but hey, the text on the screen and the character art in the battle order look sharp as can be... :?

Also, there seems to be some framerate slowdown going on....don't remember that in the original...

...still gonna be hard for me not to pick this up on release day, but gonna go into it with lowered expectations.

I've played many of the HD Remasters of PS2 games. I have a decent idea of what to expect. It won't look like a true PS3 game, but the sound, models, and textures will all be improved. Some significantly.

They could have put exact copies of both games on a single Blu-Ray with no improvements and I'd still pay the $40, as well.

X-2 is just way more fun the 2nd time around than X. X just seems (well is) a death march to the end, while X-2 is a blast. Now X is still good and all, but the atmosphere is kind of a drag when playing it again.

Not every game has to be roses and shit. :)

I still have yet to pick this up. I bought Lightning Returns and haven't played it yet. I bought a PS4 and Infamous and barely played that.

I'm bad at completing video games now. :(

Downloaded a PSX emulator over the weekend and gave FFVII a whirl for the first time in ages. DID NOT AGE WELL. Final Fantasy III was a product of its time, too, but somehow the 2-D raster graphics have aged gracefully. The big clumps of polyhedrons have not.

Still such good music, though.

I don't really care if it's roses and shit, just not as worth it going through everything again 10 years later for that payoff. The motivation to Blitzball, Lightning Dodge, chocobo race, and butterfly catch just isn't there.
