my first gen iPod is finally reached it end i think (battery)
on a full charge i maybe get an hour or play out of it

thinking about that one. any advice or suggestions ?

storage is not an issue to me at all as i do not plan on storing my entire music library on it....right now i have everything digital stored on an external hard drive and just shuffle stuff from that back and forth to the iPod. so obviously since the 1st gen was enough for me- i could probably get 30-40 albums on there- that's not a big deal

the batteries in those are easily replaceable. $5 for new battery on ebay, and use a plastic pry tool to open the ipod. it can be done in 2 minutes.
