This scripting in this game is endlessly amusing. There's some event in career mode where the star of the team asks you to be his sidekick. The next game you get the goal to feed him the ball, basically he needs to score 25 for you to complete it. Playing for the Blazers I'm supposed to get it to Aldridge. 2nd quarter he breaks his leg and is out for the game and the rest of the season. After the game he walks up to me in the locker room, no cast or limp, and asks what happened with feeding him the ball and we'll just try it again next game. Okay tough guy, we'll do that. A few games later I hit a game winning shot and he congratulates me in the locker room in full Blazers uniform, what a team player.

I dig it. Some good things. Some that piss me off

It was very difficult to draw fouls and grab offensive rebounds on 2k13. Not impossible, but way too difficult. They seem to have fixed that. They got rid of Creating A Legend, which I loved, where you could pick either an active or legendary player and continue (or begin, in the case of a rookie) his carrer. Instead there is some shitty mode with LeBron. Which I'll probably never play. Luckily I was able to switch the control scheme back to last years version as I could not get the hang of the new ones as fast as I would like. Just noticed yesterday that you can't edit the sock length of your created player. AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

But all in all. The gameplay is smoother and improved...

I like the amount of fouls called in this game. Now when you play Madden it's almost impossible to get a penalty called.

But thankfully they don't get called on you much unless you hammer the steal button.

Yeah. I was worried about that, but the balance is good.

You can always get to the line if you have a slasher on your team.



I hope they bring back the ability to play as one player back next year.

Even playinjg a season as Dwight Howard was fun.


The whole aspect of being a real player who doesn't start off at 68 and playing through his career was great. Not sure why it had to go...

I've heard this complaint. Got an Xbox 360 and over the past several months I've created 3 different guys. By 10-12 games into every season I was a starter averaging like 36-38 mpg and my minutes never decreased once all season.

Playing key games is only an option after your first season.

I don't mind playing every game the first year, it's the fucking hour it takes from creating a player to playing your first game because of the intro cinematic, the rookie game locker room cinematic, the rookie pregame tunnel cinematic, the rookie game, the rookie postgame tunnel cinematic, the team interview cinematics, the agent meeting cinematic, the draft cinematic, the contract signing cinematic, not playing the first two, games and then finally playing the 3rd game when someone gets hurt.

Yeah, sounds like the next gen version sucks.
