from my phone. I have a Galaxy S4 and it is gone. The text are still there but can only now be opened through ATT messaging. I just want to use the stock message system. There is no copy in apps and the setting is gone. I have no idea how I deleted it.

I have a Galaxy S4 active and it stopped automatically connecting to wifi networks. I have to turn the wifi toggle on and off and reconnect literally every time the screen times out. What have you got for me , Ike?

settings, wifi, click on the menu button to find a slew of options pertaining to how wifi behaves. there is a setting in there to leave wifi on during sleep. this is good. it wont kill your battery, the wifi chips they use these days are very power efficient.

Already set to to that. All of the the advanced options are turned on, and the three main wifi connections I use are all AT&T. It used to work too. I don't get it. Thanks Ike.

i would make sure you dont have any wifi managers installed... aside from that, especially because it worked before, i would likely just do a hard reset. oh, save your contacts first. at some point google stopped automatically saving contacts to google servers (a feature i actually liked to happen by default) so its very likely if you reset your phone you lose all your new contacts (like what used to happen in the windows mobile days). best part is a couple of those numbers will likely be girls you just met and will never see again now

Delete/Forget every connection and then redo it.

You might have a connections optimizer fucking things up. Turn that off if you do.

Also, change the setting to keep wifi on during sleep

Buy a new phone.

I basically threw the kitchen sink at it. Turned all settings on and off, installed and uninstalled wifi manager, and restarted it and cleared cache. Did not do the hard reset but it seems to be working though. Thanks Ike, Rick, and Bryan. Let's all get together for a surreal drink some time. I'm buying.
