You keep saying this JK, but it's not true.

She raced her way up from go-karts in the midwest, to the formula-series in Great Britain, to the Indy Lights/Atlantic series to IRL.

What steps did she miss that you would want her to take before the IRL?

People keep saying stuff like that like it doesn't count because it happened in Japan or something. A quick look at the participants shows that Helio Castroneves, Scott Dixon, Dan Wheldon, and Tony Kanaan, for starters, all were in that race and competitive. I fully admit to not being an expert but aren't those guys some of the best the circuit has to offer?

It's not like she was racing against a field of celebrities and lottery winners.

hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa.... wow.... dude, her dad paid for her to do the racing in the UK. that was key. she was a cute little girl that could hang with the guys on go-karts, and her parents bought her way into the spotlight across the pond. the IRL was nearly a dead sport at the time danica joined it, they were desperate for any sort of attention at all. the irl is still a sport in deep trouble anyway... nobody really cares about 2nd tier racing and that is proven time and again with the nationwide series and the like. people know F1 is the real racing. IRL is a shit league, and danica cant even compete in that. dont fool yourself just because you might like her for whatever stupid reason.

This is a really good picture. More of these and less of the fire suit.

Danica is all hot and shit, but what driver is on the downside of their career at age 28. This broad is just getting started. She has earned her stripes going up thru that crooked ass open wheel ladder system. Don't care if Pappy Patrick has been footing the bill since jump street(I'm looking at you Steven Wallace).

Bottom line, Danica Patrick is hot and not dead, so that makes her a triple threat.
1. Hotter than any girl you talked to this week.
2. Still not dead.
3. Putting asses in the seats.

So what if she is a gimmick?? How does this offend your racing sensibilities directly? Go ahead and reach for integrity of the sport. You're the same guy that worships a bunch of science projects every sunday in the fall, just like me, AND looking for the high ground. GTFO.

I am on the record as saying she literally doesn't have the ass to drive a stock car. Or open wheel car apparently. :) I hope she does her best but will take the net positive of eyeballs on the sport of racing and Danica doesn't go all Robby Gordon out there one day.

Every race car driver came up through he ranks driving in numerous different racing series. Danny got noticed because of her looks, not because she was a dominating race car driver, which she wasn't.

Speaking of Steven "crash" Wallace, he's another lousy driver who is racing only because he is a member of the lucky sperm club.

donspiracy is right. she is a pretty girl so that really is all that matters. it doesnt sound like it should, but this is reality. shes not a 10 by any means, but for a racecar driver i get it.

but still, her personality is what sucks and that makes her look ugly to those who do like the sport of racing cars. if she would just be honest and say

"im very lucky to be where im at, and i like racing but really i am open to any business opportunity. its obvious im not the best driver in the world, even though i am still learning. who knows where my career takes me, at least i know i will always try to further my success on or off the track".

then i would love her. then at least i would know she is real. right now, it really does seem like she thinks shes a better racer then all the other drivers. she thinks shes earned her fame.

Is she racing tonight at ORP? I would give her some respect if she went out and fucked up edwards.

No.

They destroyed a bunch of cars on the start when the outside line just did their accordion impression.

Brad and Mr. Ed were racing awfully close early on. I kinda want to see Brad get him back, but that would get him suspended. I did enjoy reading where newman said something to the effect of a fist to the lip might put him in his place.

I have said for years that Carl Edwards is the most careless & wreckless race car driver in NASCAR. He got away with it for many years, but it has caught up with him in the last two years. I was hoping someone would put this prick into the wall tonight. Maybe tomorrow.

The thing that gets me is that they were kissing his ass during the entire coverage tonight. It would have been interesting if he wrecked kyle to win, because kyle won't take any shit from Mr. Ed like kes is being relegated to doing due to his currently lesser status.

Yea, I noticed that too. He was the in race reporter & they seemed to me kissing his ass. He's a jagoff.

That was a great race last night. Lots of nonstop action on the track. I can't believe they didn't have a camera on Hornaday when he wrecked. How can you not have a camera on the car that's running in 2nd place? Probably too busy concentrating on Kes and Edwards battling for 7th at the time.

I fear today's race will pale in comparison.

Yea. I prefer short track racing to the super speedway parades. I have been to the ORP Nationwide race many times. It is my favorite racetrack.

Yet another awful finish. 35th. I didn't watch the race, but she did only completed half or so of the laps so there must have been some wreck. Anyone watch it?

I haven't updated Danny's Nationwide race results in a while.

Her results speak for themselves.

Danica Patrick 2010 Nationwide race results
Race 1. 35th
Race 2. 31st
Race 3. 36th
Race 4. 30th
Race 5. 24th
Race 6. 27th
Race 7. 35th
Race 8. 30th
Race 9. 21th
Race 10. 22th
Race 11. 22th
Race 12. 32th

Average finish 28.8.

Scorehead, are you outraged that Travis Pastrana will be running a slate of Nationwide races next year?

Danica got where she is because of her looks, not her car racing abilities, but he doesn't deserve a Nationwide ride either.
I expect Patrana's Nationwide race results to be very similar to Danny's...bad.

now now. Scorehead is finally behind a winning argument. Don't stop him just because nobody is arguing with him.
