Breaking news for UMN:

She didn't race at Sonoma today. Nobody did. Other side of the country actually.

Which is cute, considering how you ripped her for what you thought she was gonna say.
While you completely screwed up what you were actually saying.

She ran top 5 (top 4 actually) all damn day. She got dumped on the last lap by the same guy that wrecked half the field last year on the last lap. She was honestly one of the top 5 drivers today, and held her composure in the post-race better than most drivers do in any league. She earned lots of respect today.

Really, HH? List everything shes done in nascar that you don't like. Really. I'll wait.

Or just actually form your own opinion. Tough to be a big Stewart fan and hate Danica. Right?

Cup was at a road coarse and they were at a road coarse....i figured it was the same one.

As far as her performance....2 words...Robby Gordon.

Why aren't they running her at Sonoma? This would be one of her better tracks. I realize she probably would have to start last due to being unable to qualify but this would have been a good race for her to run.

There was only one driver that did both races. I think it's way too difficult to do it when these tracks are so far apart.

Ill play...

I don't like the fact that Danny is a below average driver who got where she is by her looks & not her ability.
Plus, shes a snotty bitch.
It is pretty easy for me to be a a big Stewart fan & dislike Danny.

Another year or 2 of this nonsense & she fades away & poses for Playboy.

At best she is Robby Gordon or Casey Mears and she is NOT YOUNG....the novelty will wear off at some point in time if it hasn't already. Having her run full time in cup next year will be good for ratings but bad for racing.

Is it just wishful thinking on my part, or is the Danny buzz lessening? It seems like the hype & talk about her isn't what it was a year ago.

I don't think there's much of a Danica buzz this year, even though she was ONLY scheduled to race a handful of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races to begin with. She's NOT scheduled to race Saturday night when the NSCS makes their second visit to Kentucky Speedway. David Reutimann, who drove the #00 TUMS TOYOTA to a 2nd place finish last year in this race, will be behind the wheel of the #10 Chevy for Tommy Baldwin Racing Saturday.

its not, because nascar is finally starting to realize she has no talent. she wasnt a good izod racer, which in my eyes is easier then nascar. now if youre talking f1 then i could see a mediocre f1 driver doing well in nascar but in danicas case... no. she was a prefabricated celebrity, really nothing more.

I think the reason why we see so much of Danica is that she's perceived as glorified eye candy and a sex symbol more than she is a race car driver. She's still won ONLY 1 RACE IN HER CAREER, and that came in Japan, where the IZOD IRL Series doesn't race anymore. If there's anyone guilty, it's NASCAR's broadcast partners for overhyping her.

the point is they have to overhype her. they had to start making money off her, and they couldnt wait around for her to actually be good. now that shes proven she sucks, watch for the hype to diminish as it has been for awhile now.

Ike, it's probably bad on my part, but Danica Patrick might be to NASCAR what Anna Kournikova was to tennis. Easy on the eyes, but that's about it.

man fuck that. anna was totally hot... she could have lost every round in her life and she still deserved to be in the league :D danica is a regular lookin midwest girl with no talent and a shitty fake attitude. fuck her.

It's clear that she is the fastest car in the race tonight.

Unfortunately for her, this is the wrong track to have the fastest car at.

Again. Had a fast car, running for a great finish, got taken out by somebody else's idiotic mess. And nobody should ever question her toughness. That was a crazy hard slam into the wall. I've never seen a steering column end up looking like that.

The middle finger was kinda funny though.

Sweet cheeks with another 31st place finish. Maybe she can break into the top 25 someday.

That was pretty scary. HANS device won't matter much if that goes another foot into her face.

How many times can you use the lucky dog in 1 race?? Still not competitive.

She was not strong today. But neither was Kyle Busch. Or a lot of other guys.

Where is the Travis Pastrana sucks thread?

Travis has more than earned the little attention he has gotten.

Kyle was hanging on the lead lap until he got wrecked. She was only only on the lead lap because of the lucky dog....5 times.

Yeah. I'm gonna go ahead and disagree with you on who has earned the chance to race more between Pastrana and Danica.

I said he earned the very minimal attention he has gotten...which is basically none.

Well, I'm not a huge Pastrana fan.
But to say he gets no attention would not be accurate at all. He is (to my understanding) the best competitor ever in the history of a pretty famous motorsports circuit - and, at the very least, he had the 3rd highest "Q rating" of all of the drivers in the race today. Maybe 2nd?

I watched from lap 55 on and I can't remember him being mentioned at all aside from his spot on the ticker.

Who had the highest "Q ratings" in the race today?

#1 is obvious......
