---------------------------------
Everybody pick a driver each week. Nobody picks the same driver, picking is first come first served. The thread will be posted weekly. By rule, I get to pick Kasey Kahne each week if I am so compelled. Tally up the points of the driver yous pick each week and reset the field after the Richmond race. This will be a 26 week play-in to the Chase For The Cup.
This means there will only be 43 spots available in this contest. SO SIGN UP EARLY AND OFTEN(you mults yous).

Then, starting with the first Chase race at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, the Top 12 posters shall be assigned to the driver corresponding in the SPRINT CUP standings. They keep this driver for the duration of the Chase. The chosen 12 will also get to pick a driver out of the Chase to make things more interesting. And rack up the points for the championship.

Confused? Good. Reward? Yes. A prize of undetermined greatness will be given out after the season.

1. If you pick someone and one of the players ahead of you in the standings want that driver, you have to pick another driver. This will go on for the rest of the season, just like NASCAR. If you don't pick another driver by the drop of the green flag you will be assigned the best available driver based on qualifying. A poster can only have their pick bumped ONCE per week. Your second pick will be protected from getting bumped a second time. Unless someone uses a Dealbreaker award on you.

*Dealbreaker award
This rule has been added to let someone who picks a race winner to be given a Dealbreaker award. It would let the poster either pick bump anyone(except the leader) ahead of them in the standings or take somebodys second pick. It can be saved and used at anytime during the regular season, even right before the drop of the green flag. The Dealbreaker award is a regular season gimmick and none will be given during the playoff season. The awards can transfer to the playoffs, but all deals must be complete by the last regular season race Week 26 at Richmond.

Any players who get their pick bumped or somebody goes and uses the Dealbreaker on them, they will be PM'ed in a timely manner as possible. Dealbreaker awards are able to be bought, sold, or bartered. Players don't have to use them every week or ever use them at all and sell them to players that would really need it late in the regular season. The Dealbreaker may be dealt for straight cash homie, or you can trade some of your points, or work out something to job a player ahead of you in the standings.

Shenanigans are endorsed and encouraged by the Rules Cabal. All trades, deals, and any other kind of brilliant schemes must be presented in the weekly thread and approved by the Rules Cabal for them to be used that week. The value of the Dealbreaker award has yet to been set. I'll leave that up to those involved in the dealings. And let anyone say a single cross word about the Rules Cabal decisions and watch what happens.

PLEASE NOTE:
A Dealbreaker Pick may be taken from you by someone else also using a Dealbreaker. This is called "nuclear option"
driver picking. Yes, this is unfair and everyone may use up their Dealbreakers going after the same driver, in the same week.

2. After the fifth race of the season driver picking priority will be based off of the 2014 standings. *** A poster can only have their pick bumped ONCE per week. Your second pick will be protected from getting bumped a second time. ***
3. Up to 43 people will be eligible for the contest during the first 26 races of the season. Once the Chase To The Cup starts, only the top 12 will advance to the playoffs.
4. You can sign up and never make a pick, you'll be assigned the best available driver based on qualifying that week.
5. Failure to abide by these rules will be dealt with the most harsh and unfair of judgements by the NASCAR Pick 'em rules cabal, err, committee.

Well racefans, I'm sick as a dog with a two box of Milkbone hangover. Congrats to Dale Jr. and RFDC where they are both echoing, "Where was this last week at Talladega??" The Peoria Matt Era continues with just three race left in the season.
Tune in Sunday at 2PM for the race at Texas.

This is how the Chase is going down this year, 13 get in to start. Yes, the three Chase drivers not assigned to a player are available for picking. After the 3rd race, the bottom three in points will be eliminated from title contention. Leaving 10 players left until after the 6th race, the bottom three in points will be eliminated. Leaving 7 players left until the last race, when the Top 4 will advance to the final race with everybody’s points reset to zero after each round of eliminations. Yes, this is not exactly like how Nascar is doing it, but close enough for the Rules Cabal. Have at it boys!!!!

Kevin Harvick is such a little bitch. It didn't involve him, but like a "mean girl" he stuck his nose into somebody else's issue and tried to force them to fight so that he could be entertained.

I'm sure his kid is proud.

Harvick said he pushed Keselowski toward Gordon because he thinks Keselowski should "fight his own fights" when he has a problem on the track.

Sorta like Harvick did last week when he had a problem with Kenseth, right? Wait.......that's right, he didn't.

Harvick is a bitch

Just watched all the highlights of that mess.

I agree about Harvick. Just stay out of stuff that does not involved you.

What do you think about the actual on track incident? I have watched it several times and it just looked to me like Kes was just going for the win and not really trying to be a dick on the track.

But I also know I am not a big Gordon fan and I can be biased towards him. Man was he upset...

I don't think Kes did anything wrong during the race. Gordon left an opening and he took it. That's what racers are supposed to do.

Kese didnt do anything wrong. He had position in the middle and Gordon turned left into him.

I second Harvick showing bitch like tendencies. Shoving Kese from behind, that's garbage. That was quite the melee last night. I was out of town, watched the racr late last night. I knew Gordon was not going to be happy about what Kese did.

I guess Gordon thought his bad driving wasn't the cause of the contact. He is very wrong, I believe he felt the title was lost last night. He couldn't blame himself!! Would not be surprised if Gordon wrecks Kese at Phoenix and Homestead.

I don't think anybody dumps anybody else at Phoenix......the points are too close, and anybody gets in with a win.

Unless........Harvick or Gordon blows a tire, hits the wall and ends up 10 laps down after repairs. In that case, all bets are off. And if that happens to be Harvick, he is going to be a busy guy because just last week he promised to take care of Kenseth too.

So... A race broke out at the high school cafeteria fight... With Jeff Gordon not driving very well at the end of the race and leaving enough room for Kese to get by him, cost him about 25 points and possibly a Championship. Meanwhile, in the contest, Peoria Matt is still holding off all takers with just twooooooooooooooooo races left in the season. Another late start, with green flag dropping about 2:15 on Sunday at Phoenix. Will this turn into the shoostout at the OK Corral or will everybody play nice? Not a chance, tune in Sunday to find out. Yes, there will finally be a full-fledged RaceLog. See you then racefans!!!
