Young drunk meets old drunk.

I don't know that it's a given that Drinky is the future.

not a bad lineup.

i'd rather see north, drinky and goff, though....or north, drinky and puruch. doug is only good when he's talking bears with OB.

the murph and fred thing is interesting. i liked their show back in the day. i'd be up for that change.

I would have no problem North having a two or three hour show during middays in the future. But I have doubts that he would take it seriously and be interested in taking calls and talking sports. Having said that, I think his ego and power at the station burn a lot of people, and think it would be better for the station that he not return.

I'd probably team Drinky, Brian Paruch and George Offman (or Bloomberg) together for the morning show.

Goff is not even close to having the talent for a 5 day a week show. He at best is, so-so. Jason does a good job with B/B, but thats about it for me.

Him and Holmes would be the worst combo by the way...Goff would play nothing but drop-ins, and Holmes would play nothing but repeat interviews. We may not even know who's hosting the show with those two together!

I don't know of an exact solution to the morning show problem. No one else on WSCR, or WMVP for that matter, exactly blows me away. I think North has a place somewhere in some other format. He definitely needs someone who will challenge his nonsense. Drinky might do that I suppose. Out of all the name the above posters mentioned I think Paruch is the best listen. Anything that gets rid of the monologue radio I have to listen to every day would be an improvement.

Hey thanks. If you would like to hear more of me, feel free to listen to my saturday show on WJOL 1340am. If you cant get it on your radio (it has a low signal and is based out of Joliet) than you can get it on WJOL.com. Its on from 9-noon and I think we do a pretty good job, but obviously I'm a little biased though.

KS, That might sound appealing as a listener and as a former listener of his shows, it certainly has some appeal. But do you really think Mike would agree to any contract that requires him to be quiet 60% of the time? Not gonna happen. And if it's not contractually stipulated, it isn't going to happen either. He will dominate the conversation and the topics just as he's always done....regardless of whom is sharing the mike. That's who he is and what he does. You think he can change and take the harsh medicine of becoming an equal partner with a less experienced co-host? He sees himself as a star. Stars don't take supporting roles.

Meathead, if it weren't for my self-imposed rule of ignoring your posts, I would have something to say about this one, you sick bastard.
But since I am ignoring your posts, I won't comment on this one, you sick bastard.

This is like when Sicky Dimpkins broke bad on Jerry krause, even though Jerry Krause resigned this no talent sloth 3 times!

Keeping I have been saying this since week 2!

Not sure I am giving Mike the "Immense" talent call, but he is an entertaining guy and good on the radio, he should just show up and talk, let a Producer work. yes, a real producer, not my former waitress at Gibsons

With the way North has conducted himself over the last few years and the constant bashing of Agase and other Managment, he has to go. North will land at WCKG and finish up his run and retire.
