Ok. Now I get it. Boers and Bernstein are kind souls who do volunteer work for the poor, Drinky only drinks Colas, Mac never gets upset at co-workers, Harry and North are Rhodes Scholars and Jurko never actually played football. It's all just an act. Thanks for setting me straight.

C'mon now they all play to a certain segment. Terry to dirty old men. Bernsie to his buddies in the entertainment industry. Doug is pretty much Doug. Murph has never had a press pass...blah blah blah its all a bunch of crap. Bernsie used to say the sports radio stereotype is the ex-jock and the jewish guy. The Sports Animal, all of this is a clever attempt to appeal to 25-50 year old males.

This was the payoff for weathering this storm of crap. Thank you.

Actually, as stubborn as he is, I don't have a hard time picturing him as a Republican.

If Matt is happy being a producer, occasional fill in guy, and host of Last Call, then yeah keep drinking.

If Matt wants to get into "morning radio" which is a phrase that pays in this industry, then he should clean up his act, get up in the morning, and make like that guy in the McDonalds commercial running up the stairs not only because it is the right thing to do, but because he needs to be on top of his game.

I think we should remember that we don't know Matt personally and to assume he's a major alcoholic would be slander if in fact it is an act and might face possible litigation. Oh wait, wrong host, sorry!

I think a North/Bernstein show would turn into political arguments day after day, and that's exactly what I'd like to avoid.

I don't think you would get a lot of political arguments but you would get someone to finally disagree with North and Berstein and I think that would be entertaining radio. Obviously neither of their co-hosts like to disagree with them.
