Lee was the author of the world's longest poem and he always carried that motherfucker with him in a huge satchel. I'm pretty sure it was called A Cure For Insomnia. And I think he even made a movie of it.

He was ubiquitous at Chicago art openings and street fairs. I once played in a band that had a song about him.

R.I.P. Lee, a truly unique Chicago character.
