Yes, as a matter of fact, my life would be better if he'd go away. I'm passionate about Chicago sports and I love local sports talk radio (hence, my appearances on this board). Regarding local sports talk radio, I currently have one option in the morning and I consider Mr. North's show an abomination, so, yes, I'd be much happier if he and his notion of entertaining sports radio would disappear off the face of the earth. Thank you for your concerns over my obsessions, my creepiness, and my lack of focus. Quite frankly, I have a very nice, well-balanced, and productive life, but again, thanks for caring. This is absolute insanity. I can't believe some of the shit I just read. North is clearly a man spinning out of control, a la Elvis circa 1976. His cronies have become a circle of smarmy yes-men who can't reign this guy or his ego in any more.

Drunk calling a show. "I've had few cocktails."

Taking shots at teammates and management. "Elliott Harris is my favorite writer at the Sun-Times." Mully and Hanley are pleased to hear that I'm sure. Paraphrasing here "Paul Agase doesn't know how to manage the radio station." (Said when PA wouldn't allow the SCR logo to be included in North's Gateway Chevy commercial.)

Constant insults and degrading comments to his executive producer. "Does your boyfriend know you piss in the shower?"

And now, the man of the people is threatening to sue listeners.

All I can think of is a quote from one of the most politically incorrect films ever made, "Blazing Saddles".

"Can't you see this is the last act of a desperate man?"

If indeed North was misquoted, it's not slander/libel. None of the three have actual tapes of what North said I assume.

LOL. North was on Chicago Tribune Live today, and they were talking about the Cubs. Talking about Kerry Wood, "he lost about 31 pounds in about 2 months but I don't suspect anything <that>". I just find it funny when he thinks it's okay that he does this sort of thing.

Wow after reading all these threads, I'm really sorry I listened to Mike and Mike on Monday and not Pappy....... oh wait..... no I'm not.

Hopefully somebody will listen on Monday and let us know what happens, cause my listening plans for Monday include a lot of the same Mike and Mike (except I would assume Golic will be back on Monday)

I know you did. It wasn't a dig at you. Tummy did the same thing on a bigger scale, which partially caused this issue. He took it down, which I thought was appropriate.
