Ankiel's story is amazing, but I think he'd have to be in the majors longer than 3 weeks to win that award.

Cowley also qualified his statement by including "if the Cardinals make the playoffs".
It is hard to argue with Dmitri Young's stats. Ankiel is a great story, but he's only been playing for three weeks.
Also, Mike decides to jump on the band wagon today. This has been a story since Ankiel was recalled -- three weeks ago.
Mike also said that Young doesn't deserve as much because he did this to himself. Did I miss something? Was somebody else throwing for Ankiel during his struggles? Young had transgressions off the field, but Ankiel did the damage to himself with his poor performances.
I also love how Mike spent a great deal of his show trying to pooh-pooh AM 1000's story on Ozzie's contract extension.
Does Mike prepare for his show? It doesn't sound like it.
