While I do find the desire to throw a birthday party at "The House" somewhat odd, I think ripping on North for doing so is not warranted. The guy is just being generous with his money and time by throwing a party when he could simply bring a card and/or a gift certificate.

Mike having Borthdays for Webber and Jen Jen at his house, or as he calls it 'The House"

When I was 25, the last place I am looking to go is my bosses house for my birthday, but once again, you work for Mike North you live with exactly what Mike North wants you to do?

hey, does Jen Jen's dad come to this party and sit down with Mike, maybe they can talk about Mike's sexual inuendos tossed at his daughter all day, I bet they are the same age?

Any guesses what the show will be Monday after a Bears game? The Birthdays?

'And den Bee put out a spred, its was da best!"

I'll bet mikey is older than her dad. He's just another rich pervert.

jen jen plays the game well---dumb blond waitress one minute---executive producer of drive time radio show a short time later. now if she can bag a millionare pro athlete before mikey loses his gig she'll bet set.

It's certainly weird. Can't think of many 25 year old women that go to the house of their 55 year old boss for a Birthday party.

I'll bet Pappy made a sign. He made it himself but he'll have Fred hang it. Jen will drive up to a huge banner in front of Pappyland. Jen won't have the heart to tell Pappy he spelled it wrong.

Happy Birthday Gen Gen!!!!! & you too Webber

Who the hell cares if North throws a birthday party for an employee. Seriously, some of you guys need to get a life and stop living in someone elses.

yes it is an excellent way to promote team building, if you are doing ti to build a team and not honor thyself.

Funny thing today was that he talked about HIS Birthday anbd what a great time it was for everyone?

I thought it was Jen's and Webbers Birthdays too?

Maybe if Mike had a family, some kids, etc he would not need to invite his employees over to honor him.

I agree. I don't care if Mike has kids or not.

Pappy - I know I said dat dis party was for Jen and Webber. But we all know why we're all here on dis glorious day. As you know it's my Birthday. Dis is a day for all of you to honor me. I wanted to give you guys dat chance.

Crowd - We love you Pappy!!! You're the best Pappy!!!

Pappy - [raises his hands to control the Pappyland crowd] Not now my people. At dinner I will give all of you a chance to stand up and honor me with a speech. Dat's da most apropriate way to do dis. Dat way everybody will be heard and have dare own moment to sing my praises.

Crowd - Long live Pappy!!! Long live Pappy!!!

Fred & Rock - Lift Pappy's chair and carry him through the Pappyland crowd where people toss flowers and bow as the great Pappy passes them.

This ought to have a Chapter 2 with actual speeches by various characters.

As much as my 4th cousin Beardown is making fun of Mike, the humor is in the truth.

You know he give some speech like a king speaking to his subjects.

Sorry, but I don't know anyone who has ever gome to their bosses house for his 54th birthday or have theur bosses invited them over to celebrate their 25 year old females birthday.

I like my boss. He is a good guy and I do have drinks with him sometimes on fridays, but we work together. He is married, has kids, lives in the burbs, I could not imagine him inviting me and a sales girl over to his house for his own birthday.

This one hits home!

I was invited to my bosses house by his wife for a surprise birthday party for his 50th! All of the employees in our section got invited!

One day at lunch we all started talking about how none of us wanted to go.

We spend 40 hours a week with the guy and listen to his crap, but we just came to the conclusion that we HAD TO GO and it would not bhe that bad.

So I traveled to Northbrook and had some drinks, appetizers and cake.

Still strange singing Happy Birthday to a 50 year old man.

If I had a choice with no consequences, I would not have gone and I kick myself in the ass for not having an excuse on hand for when his wife called.
