It's over for this year. Don't even try and kid yourself otherwise Frank.

But a couple of positives outside of Abreu...

No Adam Dunn next year.

And you GM didn't waste $52M dollars on Edwin Jackson.

Our boys won't quit Seacrest. Remember that. Take your kid to the game July 2nd and let me buy you a beer.

john danks last 30 days: 40IP 3 wins 22k 2.86/1.16

and that's counting the 6ER he gave up tonight, cuz prior to that he had 5 consecutive starts of 2ER or less (in fact when i was going to look up his #s for the last month i could swear he was at like 1.93/0.90 or something) if he can pitch like that for most of the season then that $$$ isn't that wasted. it's quite possible he's going to recover some of that form he had before his injuries... but if he keeps getting hammered enough to have the 4.34/1.39 with only 63K in 93IP that he's had on the season, well then yeah.... blargh. i guess if he can keep it around 4.00-4.25 you can at least value him as an innings eater.

If he can pitch close to that over the next month, they should be able to "flip" him for great prospects. The Plan is working!

Going on the 30th or the 1st with his cousin from Dallas. He goes back home on the 2nd.

We can trade Danks for prospects.

You won't rid yourself of the beer vendor's best friend.

 No one is going to give you a top prospect for J.Danks, sorry. They are not going to want an injury prone pitcher with a couple years left on his 65MIL contract. Alexi is your best bet for a decent prospect, but Hahn hasn't proven he knows what a decent prospect is.
