Since someone is assuming that are dislike of Mikes show (not Mike per say) is all about hating the Score, let me correct Mr. Wrong.

LIKE

1. Hanley and Mulligan- I like the show and Mulligan is a great Radio guy, but 2 hours a day is a terrible idea to develop a show.

2. I do like Murph, but many don't due to his corny drop ins, etc and cub mania, but he knows his shit, he watches every game (Cubs and Sox)

3. B&B (Listen daily...Big Fan)

4. Dougie - Always good to listen to, maybe just not the guy leading the show.

5. Matt & Jason - Needs a little something something, but Matty is going to be a solid ON Air guy

6. Jessie- Yup, Jessie. I know Everyone can't stand him, but he is the King of the Drop in on the Score, sorry but it cracks me up and for better or worse he is one of the very few Score hosts who let people talk and say their peace.

7. Joe B. - Just a solid Sunday night show, would make a great Morning Sidekick (get it?)

DISLIKE

1. North Show - Nuff Said
2. Ofman- Cuts people off and always has to go to break.
3. Baum & Olken- Not an annoying dislike, but the "Do you think we should make our kids wear Helmets , give me a call' Radio is to hokey, but thats the show once a week.
4. Hub- Pompous Smug Bitter
5. Rongi- Is he even on the air anymore?

I loved North in the Monsters days. I thought he was decent during the solo days. I hated the morning show during its predominantly general topic/election analysis days. When North talks sports, I listen. It is as simple as that.

I do blame him for the break up of the SCORE golden age (as a majority of the parties involved confirm he engineered the destruction). I also give him credit for the creation of the SCORE. Just like any topic the answers are not clear cut.

I loved the Score then....

Those mid day shows just dont have any flow. In two hours, it seems over so quick because its probably 60 minutes of commercials.

B&B are a hard listen because I cannot stand people who feel they are better than anyone else. Sure they may be smart. But How can you treat you callers (Customers) the way they do? And they are wrong a lot!

Remember these quotes from Dan B?

The Scores weekend and fill in talent sound like access radio.

So you don't like Baum, Olken and Rongi (3 guys that actually sound good on the radio), but you like Jesse????? Wow, you've obviously got it together.

I make no apologgies for my Jessie appreciation and he is used as he should be. Fill in, etc.

When B&B (M&J) play one of his quotes I just crack up, The grass is always greener quote, the Wiscon is pratically right over the Border, The history of leverage, Alfonseco's 6th finger question...this is classic stuff.

Plus like I said, he does let people talk and voice an opinion and he then actually doesn't just cut them off, sometimes he even asks if people are finished.

Like I said, I don't expect anyone else to like him, but at least he isn't a jerk on the air and does have some facts, and if he doesn't know them he doesn't make them up.

I did forget to address the Larry Holmes Show (AKA ME), not so sure I like his shows as they are too planned out with the 'Ask the Kids a question" thing, but I do like his reporting and talking to players. Somehow he needs to works the players into his shows more and see what happens.

He uses the hsow too much as his own personal soapbox and took over the J hood quick hangup, to be the big man role at the score. which as we have seen might not be the best road to travel down?

I agree with you big fan. Jessie is solid. I too appreciate the fact that he lets people talk and does not have that radio ego that so many have.

Jesse and Hood (which I have been a part of all along) love is running wild on this board. We must be approaching the holliday season.

I can't explain the relative insanity of my co-posters. I'd rather Jesse set up a malaprop service, and just send tapes in, rather than make us suffer through his shows until he voices a gem.

Still, who else would intro the hockey?
