And your point is?
My point is, when it comes down to something like Mike not staying up to see the home run versus Mac not showing up to his job on the biggest sports day in Chicago history, you can't very well criticize one, without criticizing the other......at least not with FACTS!!
You (anybody) can say "Well Mac missed the day, but he's likeable, so I'm all good with it" or you can say "Mike didn't see the home run? What a jerk, I don't like him, and he should be fired"........but....
you sure can't try to rationalize each situation with so called facts, or reasons that are stretched more than Oprahs stomach, without just admitting that the reason you're attacking one (North) and the reason you're letting the other off the hook (Mac) is based pure and simply on likes and dislikes.
Even though I have no problem with what either one of them did, while Mike would've only had a few hours sleep had he stayed up to see the homer, Mac could've gotten a full 12 hours or so and still have made his show.
So I would think that given the circumstances, to most rational people, what Mac did was worse.
But if you feel the need to find fault, then who does the majority of the board find fault with? North of course.
It's comparing apples to oranges. It's calling a spade a club (I made that up), and it's just not being fair - as usual - to North
Hey nimrod, why do listeners have to be fair? Good grief, get over North and yourself. In your little world it sounds like you would MAKE people listen to North. He sucks and has lost whatever made him. He has become a cartoon character and it isn't appealling to most listeners. There is nothing in this world that says people have to be "fair" to radio hosts. People's tastes change and many of those who used to like North now find him to be an overrated, phony asshole.
