Wow, I just read Ted Cox's column in the Daily Herald today. I knew things weren't great for North ratings-wise, but I didn't really know they were this bad! If I'm understanding this correctly, he gets trounced 5.4 to 3.1 by both Mike & Mike AND the first hour of Silvy & Waddle. As soon as North goes off at 10, Mully & Hanley actually pull slightly ahead of S & W. That's quite a statement as to what Chicago thinks of Mr. Radio Icon.

You realize this idiot collects his $1.7 mil a year or whatever it is, basically starts off each day by digging the station into a deep. deep ratings hole by 10:00 and then goes to lunch at Gibson's and home to play on his Golden Tee machine while Mully & Hanley have to come in with their show, for which the two of them together make a fraction of North's salary, and pull the station back up to about even with AM-1000. The two of them should ask for a big raise. Hell, if they had a decent lead-in, they'd do even better.

I laugh every time I hear North go off on Ben Wallace and what a piece of crap he is and how Paxson wasted all that money on him. Just take North's remarks, substitute "Mike North" for "Ben Wallace" and "Score management" for "John Paxson." Kinda the same situation, I would venture to say.

He gets low ratings cause his show is boring.....yawnfest
