He is bitching that cabbies might raise fares one dollar due to the rising gas prices. Of course, the hamster wheel starts to turn, and Pappy offers this gem. "Dis is BS. Gas is just part of da game. It's just like owning a hot dog stand on a rainy day, dats part of da deal."

Pappy, we all know you have the intelligence of a third grader, so I will propose a more fitting analogy. Let's say the price of hot dogs, buns, and condiments started to rise with no end in sight. Would you keep the same price for your hot dogs?

No, I freely admit to giving him a listen for a few minutes during commercials on Stern, until his stupidity forces me to turn the channel.

OK, Keeping Score, I'm working from home right now, so I'm going to tune into Mike based on your recommendation. It's 8:20 AM. Let's see what happens...

It was the show's low point. He was on this "freethrows matter" tear last couple months. Bad radio. Rock and roll shoutfests with Annie bad.

Then turn over to Mike and Mike, Coach. Traitor. We don't need you anymore. We've got NSJ now!

I can't wait for Kathy and Judy to come on.

Chus. You're a pussy. There's no way around it.

You came out all strong on Scotty Ferrel - ripping his picks and what not. You go all KS on the guy, stalking his every word and move. You end up looking like a complete tool at the end of the day when his picks consistently kicked the shit out of anything you could've even dreamed to have come up with on your own.

Then there's North. You accidentally left your radio on, just happened to have mistakingly pushed the wrong pre-set button forgetting North was on, was listening to Howard Stern talk about the match up last night between Wanda the willie wacker, and Betty the big boobie Barbie doll.....and just happened to.....

Aw shut the hell up.

You're so thin skinned that when KS jumps in and asks you a couple of tough questions, you have to go make one of your brilliant posters to try and rip on good ol' KS.

If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen junior!

1) I ripped Ferrall for giving out bogus lines, charging his fans for his shitty picks, and getting me banned for asking the "tough questions". It turns out that I was right on all counts. Ferrall's free picks were 50% at best, so flipping a coin would be a viable alternative. I certainly didn't stalk his every word or move, I simply cut and pasted his free picks, which took all of thirty seconds. My picks are just fine, by the way. I would go head to head against Ferrall any day of the week. '06-'07 hoops, '06-'07 football, and '07 bases were all positive money. Go back and check the wagering section. We all know how much you like scouring every thread.

2) As far as Nort is concerned, I have never said that I "accidentally" tuned in. I used to be a HUGE fan of Nort, and I will usually give him a listen to get a good laugh, and then I get on with my day.

3) The thin skinned one is you, my friend. You are always in some internet pissing match with someone. You have taken many not so subtle jabs at me, and as soon as I jab back, you cry like a little bitch. You are just like your hero, Nort.

Arguing with you, is like arguing with Nort, so I am not going to get involved any more than I already am. I know how much you like internet pissing matches, so I will pass. You win the internet. I would just like to close with this:

1) Check your facts about the wagering.
2) Your statement about liking or disliking Nort, is like Bush never changing his mind on anything, no matter the results. It just doesn't make sense.
3) I only post in the Nort section when he says something so dumb I can barely believe what I just heard.

This ends my involvement in this, because you are clearly too thin skinned to have any kind of rational discussion. I think the poster said it all. Have a nice day.

Look, there is nothing wrong with calling out Decorsi (sp?) on his suggestion that free throws are less meaningful than they are believed to be. Of course Mike generalized the sh* out of a very particularly stated thought by Decorsi, but still, that's fine. What I'm having a problem with is that this turned into a daily thing with him. Dude, statement is made, say Decorsi is wrong, you're right... move on.

Murph used the phrase the other day and credited North with inventing it.

I never heard that, but I do remember Mike using the phrase before 2003.

Actually I don't agree that North was "right" on this one. He was taking DeCourcy's point way out of context & making it seem like a cleary stupid statement...especially given the result of last night's game. DeCourcy made his comment in regard to evaluating a team's chances going into the tournament. He simply stated that people often give too much weight to a team's free throw shooting percentage when making their picks. As he noted, the difference between a 60% shooting team and a 70% one is usually around 2 points for the game - which a good team will make up for in other ways. He was actually proven correct in that regard since Memphis made the finals (and nearly won) despite their low FT shooting percentage AS A TEAM entering the tourney. DeCourcy never said (nor implied) that missing free throws at the end of a game didn't matter as Mike kept saying.

Couldn't agree more. Decorsi kept saying "listen to the tape, listen to the tape" and when Mike replayed it, he ignored the part about percentage. Because that would have killed his argument.

Of course missing free throws at the end of the game killed them, but that wasn't the point. The point was about the percentages of free throws missed, not WHEN you miss them. Two completely separate arguments that North could not differentiate from.

Although, it is fun to hear him try and argue a point that any diligent listener knows he is completely wrong about. Idiot.

Since the CSFMB fact checker didn't check his facts, or just didn't want to be wrong, I did it myself.

Here are my picks from the '07 MLB regular season where I was up 8.25 units (495-473-13):

Here are my football picks from '06-'07, where I hit 54.3% (119-100-6)
