Thumbs up. Really liked it. Perhaps I'm biased because I like them both, but I thought the interview was a good balance of yesteryear with today's game.

Awww. What would you know about good interviewing Mac? I only value the opinions of Canadians.

Mac - were there any questions about the apparel around Joe Crede's neck? I'll hang up and listen to my answer. :P

What's going on, Mac? You post in this section on joining with Mike. Then you give him some slurpage on Billy Williams interview. Yesterday Mike did a little Dangerous Dan McNeil impresonation circa 1992 and stated that Danny Mac is his boy, which I found rather curious. It wasn't the tired and overused "my guy;" he appeared to try really hard to make it abundantly clear to the audience that you are buddies.

Then I read rumors about significant divergence in Mike's contract negotiations, hear that Mike wasn't even notified of Mason's Chicago visit, internet shows with Fritzy.

So, don't tease us like that, Mac! Hint at something, even if it's in convoluted terms.

I once was criticized -- accurately -- for never posting in other sections. Fair enough. Since, I enjoyed exchanges with this fraternity in the Food Critics section recently. Several times a week, I listen to Mike's show. I liked the interview he did with one of my childhood heroes today and it's not beneath me to say that.

There is no hidden motive. I'm eager to see how Mike's contract saga unfolds. It has a chance to "swing the market" and that is of interest to a lot of radio people in this town. All I admitted to a long time ago is considering a partrnership with Mike while suspended last summer. My suspension left me with wander lust and it made some since to consdier partnering with Mike. Would I do it? Can't say. It is not Position A for me, but it as option that, like Kaiser Soze, is very real.

Right now? I think about kicking everybody's ass... one day at a time... and we'll see what the future holds once it arrives. Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans, John Lennon wrote. I'm just a day-to-day MF'er these days. Swear it. And I really enjoy the partnership I have presently.

Based on the lack of view here today Deacon, I tend to agree with you. Seems if I start a thread at home in our section, by the time I get downtown, it's hat 700, 800 hits or more.

Mac, that would be career suicide. And honestly, I think Mike's incapable of quality radio.

Mac, my guess is that if you ever partnered up with North, your career much like Kaiser Soze would go ****poof**** and be gone.

Not really....I just love referencing that quote whenever possible.

Did Mike mention how he coaches now and that gives him an amazing new insight into professinal athletes that a mere mortal could not attiain.

You might not have heard he is an asst. coach at a local catholic high shcool, so he knows!

I'd sooner listen to you with Jim Memolo.

North can have Tom Schaer to help him out... Hawaiia!

I liked the interview Mac because North is not scared to bring up some things that may seem controversial. So in other words he didn't do a softball interview a la Chris Duhon.

Mike might ask "the tough questions", but the flaw with his interviews is his resistance to allow the guest to "fully" respond. Mike loves cutting the guest off in mid-answer (Paxson for one). He doesn't appear to really want a discussion of opinions. He just wants to "look" like a tough interviewer.
