Gotcha covered;

Quote:
Harley Leland Race (April 11, 1943 – August 1, 2019)[3] was an American professional wrestler, promoter, and trainer.[1]

Race wrestled in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), the American Wrestling Association (AWA), the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He was a nine time world champion, having won the WWA World Heavyweight Championship once and the NWA World Heavyweight Championship eight times and was the first NWA United States Heavyweight Champion.

Race, a wrestler from the glory days of Peoria Matt, is one of six men inducted into each of the WWE Hall of Fame, the NWA Hall of Fame, the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame.

Race looked like he was 76 thirty years ago.

That classic promo where he puts a $25,000 bounty on Ric Flair and is at the end of his rope. "WHY WON'T SOMEONE COME HERE AND TAKE MY MONEY?!? I WANT RID OF HIM!"

So googled him because of your post. I guess handsome for wrestlers is a very low bar. What the fuck?

That is a really good piece, thanks for posting. Loved the part of Dory Funk and Harley wrestling for 60 mins without calling any spots.

I don't think that the "Kissing Cousins" moniker would go over too well now.

Then again, neither would Dick the Bruiser.

I recently saw a Kevin Nash youtube shoot clip where he was talking about how back when he started in the business locker rooms would have guys like Harley Race sitting around in them, nowadays locker rooms aren't quite filled with the same caliber of person like Harley Race. He was pretty much legit "that dude" status back in the mid-late 70s turning over into the 80s.

you know, the kind of wrestler that you could believe in. RIP harley!
