read the first few pages and then gave up. are they dating now or what.

that's some old school, usenet groups style back and forth beefing in that thread. you don't get that much nowadays with everyone interacting via block-enabled social media platforms.

Pick it back up around 10 am today and finish the thread. Theres a pretty sweet twist in the last 12 hours or so.

The guys that are backslapping about it are the same guys (Fraternal Order of Men) that are already on the take anyway. For some reason they haven't quite figured out that people see through that.

I was the person that actually called him out on it too. I have made 20000 plus posts on here. This is now the 2nd or 3rd thread (again conveniently started by Fraternal Order of Men members) started about this in less than 5 hrs.

They don't realize that people see through this? These dudes have to act as their own hype man in order to get people to pay attention. Bad look

I dunno. I think ltg clearly knew, since he called Frank a plagiarist. And Frank's done this before (against Sarley).

Why didn't ltg continue to make this clear? Well, ltg's argumentative style does not rely on responding directly to what a poster says; he does not respond to the claims in a post as much as he is inspired by the general tenor of a post. You can argue x, y, and z, and ltg will respond with x1, 2, and 8. He might respond directly to a particular claim, but then he moves on to indirect responses--even when he quotes you. It's not a bad thing; it's just different. So basically, he called Frank a plagiarist and moved on to his own agenda.

Either way, I like both posters, and that thread produced some brilliance (and I loved how other people got caught in the crosshairs), but it was also kind of depressing. Maybe that's the price you pay for some of those zingers.

Except you both forgot you didnt call him a plagiarist until the 5th or 6th time he quoted your posts. He only quoted you one more time after you finally caught on. So there wasnt much to "continue to make clear."

I actually knew it when i responded with Non Sequitur but i thought he'd simply misused the quote function.

A post or two earlier. Here is the thing the only people that believe that it was a genius move are people that are already on the take anyway. Not one of them are guys that can be considered particularly objective.

You are one day removed from normalizing all of the "put the gun in your mouth and pull the trigger" Bullshit that he spouts.

You also completely ignore all of his targeting of posters that never respond B.S.

You aren't really all that objective and neither is the guy that started this particular thread.

When its all said and done the guy that caught it was me.

I wasn't really following all that closely and i believe the only one that i really addressed was the point regarding fastballs.

I glossed over most of that stuff. He was already being repetitive with all of "liar" and "hypocrite" stuff so i started tuning him out after awhile.

Plagiarism is defined as taking somebody else's work and making it your own.

I cited my source and showed my work. You would think a teacher would have appreciated that.

RIP ltg indeed.
