Everyone is acting like North's show lasted 24 hours a day (except for his once a year marathon for charity) , he was an exciting radio personality, he gave away his own money to the listeners, his show was fun to listen to , he praised the guests that deserved praise, and he put the jagbags in their place.

I guess I like the shows no else seems to. I like Carmen, I liked the weekend baseball shows on both stations. I really like Kaplan on WGN. I think the new M&H show has potential, especially if Mully stops screaming at 6am, it's early enough to do with the radio screaming at you!.. I guess I enjoy sports talk, not the stupid type of guy talk that North and MJH seemed to move to. It's usually juvenile and out of date. To me it's stupid and a waste of my time. I work during the day without radio access and on the drive home I listen to XM for sports. B&B are never a consideration because of the smug and non earned arrogance of the two of them. To me, both are assholes who I would never wish to spend any time with.
As a sports fan, I find most of the shows not interesting, not informative and put on by people with no real knowledge of what they talk about, usually very lazy.
Just my opinion, but I sure wish they were better and worked at their craft. The subs are more knowledgeable than the stars.

Kaplan doesn't count for my particular question though, as he is at neither 670 or 1000. as far as your other host choices, I see exactly what kind of listener and preferences you have...I too like Hoffman and M & H...I wish they'd give shorty George a 2 Hr. show. I've got to disagree with you on B & B, but I don't take myself too seriously and love hearing Dan get his whenever he oversteps his bounds, much of what made Cosell such a good listen does the same for me with Dan, his balloon getting pricked every once in a while. But to sum it up, you really don't listen to very much of 670 or 1000, do you?

Why would one of the top stations in the city hire a washed up, bigoted, has-been, ratings loser??? Most businesses don't wish death and destruction on their product.
North deserves to be on after midnight, not prime time drive time.
