The best example of that was the quote from Bobby Knight after his team came back from a big deficit to beat LSU in the 1987 tournament. He said something like, "I was starting to get a little worried, but then I looked down to the other side and remembered who I was coaching against and I knew we were gonna be fine".

 love that quote

I believe Sonny's quote after the game was something like "we ain't leaving the city to play games anymore - we ain't getting jobbed".

Who was the other big on that team besides Griffin? Hamilton? Been a long time so searching the memory banks.

Marcus Liberty vs. Johnny Selvie in a game of 21. I'm taking Selvie.

That 93 King team was super fun to follow.

They were loaded. Especially after Michael Hermon transferred in. Couple of my really good friends were on that team. We had a backyard barbecue this past Sunday ironically. We started talking old high school basketball and one of them was talking about having to guard Michael Hermon in practice. First thing out of his mouth was "I couldn't do anything with him" Absolutely nothing. We all started laughing and then told him "We understand"

That was probably the last king team I followed at all as I graduated same time as those two, moved out and didn’t get to. Kill time memorizing the sports page when I got home from school anymore.. brief return in 96 when I had dead time at work.. a lot of dead time.
