I'll give you credit for that one Rock. Nice job. I heard it during transition. Mulligan said Nice job to Rock. And ofcourse the attention seeking, self important North response was "what about me?" What an ass hole North is.

Rock,

I ripped you for the Terry Schaivo & especially for the Natalee Holloway bits so I have to give you equally strong props for "Bitchslap".

The only thing missing was a "banana" & "bare naked thoughts"

Has it really come to this? While the piece was ok, it wasnt anything to be all giddy about. This is now what passes as good radio in the morning thanks to the hell hole North and Co. have turned it into. Unbelievable. Lets try not to break our arms by patting ourselves on the back.

EG Greg,

Bitchslap is the closest thing to "funny" & "clever" that has come out of the MNMS in as long as I can remember, and I have no problem with acknowledging it.

Perhaps the praise seems over effusive because the show has been so bad for so long. :-)

I agree with that, although in general, when a show falls back on bits, I think it says a great deal about that show having nothing to say. Pappy and Co. seem to be on the slipperly slope right now.

I'll throw Rock a compliment if I like something. He probrally thinks we just bash North for the sake of doing it. The show is absolute garbage. So when I caught this at transition I was shocked something good happened. But to be honest it was Mully and Murph that made the bit. They weren't even trying to do a bit. But Rock threw in some nice drops. Hopefully this doesn't go to his head and they play the shit out of it twice a day for 2 months.

Absolutely correct... I started timing sports vs non sports talk but I had to quit after the 1st hour. Even including Mikey interrupting Fred during updates there was only 5:38 of "sports" talk.

For a station that constantly runs show promos claiming "We talk sports/Cubs/WSox" it seems an awful lot like a bait & switch when you realize that between the SNR Dr. Phil wannabee, Stocks & Jocks, & Mikeys whatever-the-hell-kind-of-show he runs there is 9 straight hours of programming on WSCR that has precious little, if any, sports content.

Slippery slope, shit they have been in free fall for months. Hell, before this the Bookie Priest was the only chuckle inducing thing to come out of this shitfest. Now it is twice a f-ing day and promos the rest of the day. I actually had a little laugh at this one Rock, a rarity with the MNMS.

I didn't hear it, but I doubt it warrants all this praise. Pappy & gang have forced us to lower our expectations to the point where if any bit even elicits a chuckle we're flabbergasted. I'm guilty of it myself in the case of the Bookie Priest. I'm sure I'll catch it, cause if I know my Mikey, he'll play it to death.

Roll on over to Rocks myspace which is linked at the top, then someone else can agree with me that we call all stop giving Rock a hand job over what is a good bit, but certainly not the greatest thing going.
