In just the last few months, the sports media graveyard has been filling up, hasn't it?

Jay Marriotti
Mike Downey
Ed Sherman
Kerry Sayers
Mike North
Fred Huebner

Am I missing anyone?

Of course, North will be rising from the dead come January on Comcast, but I think they ought to leave his gravesite available and his tombstone in place for his imminent return.

Didn't hear about Ed Sherman. What happened? Cost-cutting?

Although he thinks he's Mr. Chicago Sports because he holds a few season tickets and knows a few people, I don't consider "The Stever" part of Chicago "sports media."

Jay will be back in Jan as well. Look for him to do something on Trib.com and some CTL or WGN stuff.

Would Chris Singelton and possibly Darrin Jackson qualify as well?

I guess I missed it, but Darrin is not going to do Sox radio? Have they named a replacement?

That's why I said possibly. Last I heard, he still was in "limbo" as it were; not making a decision either way.

Let's not forget Chicago's #1 Cubs fan and regular pimp for the North Side Ball Club: Rod Blagoavich

This dude was ALWAYS on the Mike and Mike Show going on and on about the Cubs.
