Can you believe a 2.1 for a station mostly national.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isnt The Score 99% local???

HMMMMMM.

Nice job Mike and Mitch. I'd be willing to bet North got stomped in his slot.

*Edit NOTE here- I stumbled on them right after they were changing them. I read them wrong or they were screwed up. ANyway, THOSE "actual" numbers SUCK!

Might it be Winter '06? Those ratings show up too.

WMVP - 1.3
WSCR - 1.2

Yeah it just seemed to fix itself now. MVP barely beats out the Score with a 1.3. Look how much both stations are down from a year ago though. Not good. Glad MVP is still on top. Now I don't have to listen to new North promos on how the Score is number 1.

Oh I'm sure you'll hear some promo about how the MNMS is #1 among left-handed one-eyed expatriate Hungarian blacksmiths & THAT'S the target demo they were really programming for

Incredible. MVP loses 38% of its fall audience this winter. Timing is everything Mac. Particulary when it comes to contracts. :D

Brandmeier must have scooped up the majority of people that stopped listening to WCKG and 94.7TheZone

Mitch needs to pop open the hood and get to work.

Usually these format changes take place in early September - but if the Sox are white heat red hot, I highly doubt he'll make any changes around that time frame.

...the two 2-hour shows are a joke. How can a host build any momentum in a two hour time frame, 40 minutes of which is probably commercials.

I also don't think he really strengthened the Score by moving Boers and Bernsie to PM drive....

The Mike North Morning Show's number one demographic are those who are deaf.

The North morning show is a failure, plain and simple. I don't want to hear any more excuses or spin control. There can't be any way they can justify paying their morning drive jock and most visible "personality" $1.7M with those kind of overall numbers. I notice the FAN in New York does a 2.2, almost twice the Score's rating.

So, powers-that-be at the Score: If you're going to end up playing to such a small segment of the audience, then please go back to playing to your original target audience--the rabid Chicago sports fan. Stop giving us third-rate Zanie's comedians and fluff pieces with Mike creaming his pants over Marisa Tomei. What do you think? You're going to hold your sports fans AND draw listeners away from Spike O'Dell with that bullshit? It obviously ain't workin'.

Bookie Priest, say a prayer for the MNMS. If there's a shred of sense in the radio business, it's days have GOT to be numbered.

pizza_Place: It's gone
But what would they do if they got rid of North? I mean who do they have? Their roster is pretty weak. They're in a bind.

I am pretty sure Chet Coppock would probably get more ratings in the morning than North. Even chet chitchat.
