I don't think George has much for which he needs to apologize. And apparently Mully and Hanley--and now North--agree. Shortly after I posted about Dempster agreeing with North that Cora bit somebody, Mully and Hanley discussed this exchange with Pappy, and they all started pounding Dempster for "misquoting himself". I guess a lot of Score people do read this board--and I'd say they're on the right side of this issue.


The same thought ocurred to me. Mully and Hanley read your post, and then used your idea during transition. :roll:

No we don't.

Hanley doesn't read this board. But he does understand that athletes will claim they are being misquoted. That's why they carry MP3 or tape recorders with them.

I'll let you get back to your fantasy now.

I agree. I wouldn't be surprised if Mitch told George to make his updates more editorial or daring in nature to help "stir the pot". I think Mitch's current strategy is to try creating media controversies every few weeks so SCR can stay in the news--this is his way of compensating for a lack of an advertising budget. Credibility has nothing to do with ratings.

Score is Doomed: Chill out, pal. I usually enjoy your embittered commentaries. But remember, the fact that someone disagrees with your interpretation doesn't automatically mean they're a Score employee. Take a look at my posting history--I think you'll find that I've been very critical of the station in the past. I just happen to think that Dempster is playing the clown here....


Sorry, you are right. However, Dempster is reacting like most would after some dumbass continues to make you look bad after you're off the air with his own BS. Friday's show might be interesting if Dempster comes on.

Man there's nothing but bad vibes coming from that station. It can't be a real fun place to work.

Just once couldn't the Score stir up some pub by doing something positive? Making the news and papers via infighting and misreporting doesn't seem like sound long-term strategy to me.

Trust me, this has been the happiest day at SCR since they all piled on Murph last month.

Let's just call it a funny "coincidence" that the hosts started arguing my point shortly after it was posted here. After all, radio hosts never take ideas from message boards, right? Today I am quite sure Mitch is happy it all occurred and while I did not get to hear most of the banter, I am pretty sure it was North saying he did nothing, Annie and Fred backing him up, then playing tape and North saying he Never said someone did something, because he phrased something in the form of a question.

It's one thing to ask questions during interviews that you have a SOLID reason to believe, but when he asks about unfounded rumors, North knows what is going to happen, anyone does, Then he takes no responsibility for the controversy caused, because tehcinically, he never said anything, just asked a question.


I can assure you plenty of WSCR and ESPN guys read this board.

My all time favorite example was Bernstein in some rant saying the legendary name of PENISFACE, as if he just made that one up. lol

Much cheaper than a billboard. Plus you don't have to hire someone to write up a slogan/design it.

According to Chicago Tribune Live (5:45 pm), Dempster and North worked it out and he will be on this Friday. Didn't catch all of it, but that's what they said.
