I have a two friends who work at the Score and this is all 2nd hand information, but here is what I have been told.

1. When the Score got the Sox rights, J.R. told Mitch and the higher ups that even if the Sox were going bad, he did not want the station to be ripping the team, he demanded that they refrain from any negative comments. This is why he decided to leave AM1000. J.R. is loyal and long as you put your blinders on when times are bad. He was very specific that Kenny Williams, Ozzie Guillen and himself be left alone when it came to any critcal comments being made. I sorta raised my eyebrows to that one, but if you think about it, since the Score got the rights, all the hosts have made it a point to kiss the ass of those three. name one time in the last three months where one of those guys received any type of negative comments from the Score and that is because they have been instructed not to do so by Mitch and J.R. , which is a joke.

All I can about this is they can never say that WGN is to homer, because they are bringing it to a all new level.

2. Mike North held a meeting with all the hosts two days after the Score got the rights and told them that if they are going to have to talk Cub baseball, then to make them look as bad as possible. Now with the way they are playing, its not to hard, but North also said that if there is dirt on any Cub players he wanted it, because he would take the lead in this. North and his current and past producers are also known to cut tape to support their stance on issues, someone already cut up the tape on Northtonorth.com and turned around the dempster interview, which of course didnt really need to be done, because I think Ryan was wrong in this anyway, but that shows you how insecure he truly is.

By the way, the only people who can even stand the guy at the statios is Mike Murphy and Mike Mulligan, everyone else HATES him. He is lying, cheating lowlife and there have been a few times where other score employees have gone after him, most of the sale staff had quit because he and Bebe will interfer with some clients. I dont know the whole story on that, I just know Mike has taken a few bucks under the table for some free advertising on the air.

3. North has already been told that he will get a big paycut or no offer when this current contract is up. He knows this and more then likely will take the paycut because there is no market for him out there. By the way, the reason he got the NBC 5 GIG is because Mitch is buddies with Larry Wert and the truth is that Mike is not the one getting paid here, the score is paying channel 5.

I am not gonna debate what you posted, but you cant preface your comments with the first statement and then say this is the truth in your final statement. Thats a bit contradictory.

I dont buy number 2. You are telling me that B&B are going to sit in a room and have North lecture them on how they should run their show and go to him with any Cubs dirt they have? Please. Thats just ridiculous. And if by off chance that is true, any respect I had left for Boers, Bernsie, Mully or Hanley is completely done.

I believe you because you had the bankruptcy info on Hood. I figured someone had to tip you off. Either that, or you spend way too much time on the computer.

Your right EG. There is no way Boers & Bernsy would sit in a meeting with Pappy holding court like that. But I can defidently see that meeting taking place without those two however. I can see Pappy in a Mafia suite saying

Sounds like BS, since spring training until it all went down hill I've heard nothing but Cubs kiss ass (even more Cubs than Sox talk) to try and not lose the Cubs listeners just because they signed the Sox. Anything they've gotten lately has been deservedly so (though Cubs haven't proven shit in a while to warrant positive talk)

No reason to rip on Kenny or JR for now...

Shit. If Pappy is taking money from advertisors under the table then Mitch can fire him without having to pay the final 2 years of that contract.

Everybody that praises Pappy for giving to Charity, sending bottles of champaighn, and buying drinks for everybody should check themselves. I'd be a generous guy to if I was getting side deals from advertisors if the above statement is true. It's easy to be generous if your getting free money.

B&B have just got lucky the Cub have been bad. They both like their lucrative contracts, integrity be damned. You B&B apologists need to take it elsewhere. When you invest 2.5 mil in something, that becomes your top priority.
North is top priority as the highest paid host, same goes with the Sox.

The Sox are 141-82 (.632(!)) in their last 223 games that have mattered. Yeah, 'SCR is really holding back the criticism of the team, manager, front office, and owner. Give me a break.

That's what I was thinking Marty. Why would anyone have to say to treat the Sox with kid gloves? They won the world series and then proceeded to get better in the off season.

There's not very much to criticize the White Sox over.

They are playing great ball, and just happen to have the Tigers playing slightly better through 46.

Meanwhile, the Cubs are playing baseball on the KC level. Why wouldn't they be criticized ?
