You've been more then loyal to him and have given him more help and money then any other show. He's been given every resource to succeed. Here's the list.

-- 1.5 million dollars

-- 3 producers (most shows only have 2)

-- A highly paid news women and a highly paid lap dog in Fred.

-- Billboards. His show got the only billboard at the Cell for most of the season.

-- You allowed him to call another show while driving drunk and you just looked the other way.

-- He was able to call Asians "chinamen" without any punishment from you.

-- He has lost in every book to the national sports morning show down the dial.

-- He's been given a chance to go solo in the midday, have an afternoon show, and get a chance at mornings. He failed at the first two opportunities and got to advance to better slots after each failure. That's unbeleivable in the radio business.

-- After all of this loyal treatment by management he still bashes you and blames the lack of success on management. What nerve this idiot has.

-- You give the news women a nice new contract and then 2 weeks later reduce her role. Wow.

--Afer all of the money you spent on his show you then have to hold try outs to add another person to the show. Remarkable.


Nobody has been more loyal to such an idiot with such failure. End it now Mitch. Pappy should be grateful for all of the above situations. He's the only guy that could not succeed with these perks. Nobody else would be given this much of a chance. Maybe you don't want to eat the remainder of the contract but you have to end it after that.

Bear, you've just described a man who is the Elliot Ness of sports talk...virtually untouchable.

I thought of a few more things management has rolled over on for Pappy to benefit.

-- They allowed him to take a sports radio station and turn his show into "general talk". It failed and they allow him to staty as the show goes back to sports. Something everybody here said wouldn't work. We also said Annie was brutal and they finally stopped that. But they still decided to pay her to do nothing.

-- He was able to take over his show to push his lousy CD that nobody bought. He also got to plug it on other shows.

--He falls a sleep in Houston during the extra inning Sox World Series game. Saying "I gotta do da show and I was tired." Kind of an important thing to watch if you're a sports talk guy in Chicago. Yet while in Detroit this year Jen Jen claims that they were up until 1 am at the bar. Not tired for that Pappy. I guess you have priorites.
