I remember just before the morning show made it's debut, Mike was quoted in one of the Chicago papers saying something like... Our show will be about everything. I'm gonna stay up and watch all the news shows and write good notes and have plenty of things to talk about!

Thank god Mike is so honest it's refreshing. I know he stays up late working hard and staying faithfull to Be-Be. I'm sure he watched Charlie Rose every night and TIVO's it, taking notes and garbbing the old dictionary when he doesnt understand something.

While we're at it...tell him - and every other local host who have recently revived it - that the imitations of the old SNL "Da Bears/Ditka" jokes are outdated, not funny and extremely annoying.

I liked the character better when it was more subtle.

You like them Nas, because you were shittin' your diaper in '85. As someone who has endured them since the age of 15, I can say I'm thoroughly sick of them. If I never hear the superfans, or have to look at Ditka's orange face EVER again, I'd be very happy. I find ironic that Ditka has the quote about living in the past, yet for a buck he'd show up to my nephews birthday party, and talk about what a character Fridge was.

Factually speaking that skit started in 1991. It wasn't around during the 80's. I'm sick of people imitating it too. MJH do it. Jigs and Pappy used to do it. It's just old, lazy, rip off radio.

Nas, you've been lucky to have missed it. North has done it for extended periods at least twice this week. Today it was (in annoying Superfan voice) "Who would win between da '85 Bears and da '92 Bulls if Jordan and Ditka changed teams?". Jeez...even Mac & Bernstein have used the voice recently. Funny?...No. Annoying?...YES

Plus they use the exact same stupid topics that the SNL guys used. It's so pathetic. They all think they are clever for doing it but it's just rip off material. I laughed at the SNL guys because it was original but the whole thing is tired and stupid now.

Damn, I used to get ripped on here for saying that about the '85 Bears, and thats a great bit from SNL, but lets move on, Pappy sounds like a gay man with nasal congestion when he does it.

Plus why does Pappy have to imitate people doing the Chicago accent. He's got one. The joke is when Pappy speaks his normal tongue and the stupid things that come out. That's the comedy.

Superfans became passe when they introduced the Bulls during one of the championship ceremonies.
