He doesn't need his own thread so I will use this one to pay the respects to Playstation 2 #2 which met its end Sunday. I am over him and his crappy jacked up loud fan which contributed to his death. It should also be noted that this was a successful assisted suicide. #3 should be arriving within days.

Oddly, article I read only talked about the 3-1/2" going bye-bye, not the 5-1/4". Anyway, liked the old 8-inch drives on my CP/M boxen. REAL old school

You mean they've still been making 5 1/4 inch disks up until this point...I thought it was the 3 1/2 inch that they just gave the axe to...

I'm pretty sure that I'd pay money to play that one more time. I almost bought one off Ebay a couple years ago but figured that it probably wouldn't work.

i still have some old games that are only in their 5 1/4 state. then again i can just download them too.

it was insane how many damn discs would be used for some games.

i used to have a library of them for storage of all the .MOD's I had.
