I hope I spelled it right.

Met the guy once at a remote 3 years ago, "Flying Zerang Brothers" statement was a staple of the Score for years. Engineered everything.

Passed away today from Lung cancer, per Bernsie.

I believe it's Zerang. It's all over facebook.

R.I.P. Mark. My condolences to the family. :(

Yea, I heard them talk about it with Hub on the Danny Mac Show, sounded like a good guy and seen the stuff on Facebook.

RIP Mark Zerang.

This dude was WAY too young to pass away. It's so sad... I've met him a few times, he preferred to be the guy behind the scenes, and there's nothing wrong with that at all - as he did a very competent job. His facebook picture made me smile though, and I'd elect to remember him laughing than deceased.

RIP. :(

Chicago radio types all are mourning Mark's death. He was trusted by many... liked by everybody. Can't say I ever saw the sweaty one in a bad mood. He loved to laugh. His skills at engineering ballgames and remotes were exceptional. Cool under fire. Bright. And fun. He loved music. Shared a peaceful moment with him on a beautiful summer day in Bourbannais in August. I'm grateful for that. I wish I had known sooner, but I admire Mark for not brooding or sharing his pain with others. I can take solace in knowing that several hours before he passed, he heard me "dedicate" a Lynyrd Skynyrd track ("Whiskey Rock-A-Roller") to him and I'm told it pleased him. Truly a wonderful colleague and friend.

Hope the outpouring of sympathy for Mark meets YourMom standards, she set sthe bar pretty high for how people should react. That being said, condolences to the entire Zarang family, sorry for your loss.

Now that I see his picture I realize I had met him a few times at events. Nice man and have enjoyed the product he helped create for a long time.

Condolences to his family and all that knew him.

I think about this shit all the time. Do need to quit, but you hear stories about those who've never touched the stuff (or anything at all) picking up all manner of terminal illness, cancer included. C'est la vie, indeed.
