Sad to hear. We watch an episode of Jeopardy almost every night. It’s been fun and amazing to watch my daughter gain confidence as she’s advanced in school and increasingly kicks out butts with answers I couldn’t begin to even guess at.

Watching Jeopardy on Hulu. There's a contestant streak winner Cindy Sowel. Such an angel. She was in stage 4 colon cancer during filming in summer of 2016. Then, she died later that winter. What a terrific show and host. Merv Griffin's brainchild, and he also wrote the theme song. What is RIP.

I like Rod Roddy's voice. I can't remember Pardo.

Hopefully they put the show to rest for a while, if not permanently. I'm glad he got to oversee the all-time champion tournament, with Holzhauer and Jennings ending any speculation that there can be anyone else to do it better.

I wonder how many episodes they still have in the can with Trebek. I think they film like 5 shows per day so there's probably a few weeks of episodes still out there.

They have two months' worth taped. His last episode is scheduled to run on Christmas Day, though I don't know how they're going to work that with the inevitable preemptions.

I would think that a Christmas Day last broadcast might draw amazingly high ratings.

Normally, yes, but it's first-run syndication, so it's not as if a network can just put it on the schedule. The affiliates would have to figure it out on their own.

Maybe ABC can buy it, they won't have NBA to show. I don't know.

EDIT: it's still so weird to me that Jeopardy runs in the access hour with Wheel of Fortune in almost every market. It's been 3:30 in Chicago for my entire life except for a few months when they had to clear Katie Couric's failed talk show and moved it up to 2:30. East Coasters all watch it at 7. I can't imagine.
