What's up, guys? I'm a long-time reader, second-time poster. (The first came after I pinch-hit for Jurk on MJ&H. The 300 bucks I made went to the McCormick Trib Foundation. But that's another story.)

I haven't listened to Mike's show in weeks, so this board has been my main source of info on what he's been saying. (I also had an editor email me about Mike's comments that a female ESPN reporter who gets good assignments must be "doin' " somebody. You stay classy, Mike.)

I want to give the vast majority of you props for your spot-on and hysterical takes on Mike. It sounds like he's in meltdown mode. Instead of talking about two first-place baseball teams, he's obsessed with talking about himself and his next paycheck. Pretty sad.

I also want to let you know that I have never -- and will never -- send Mike an email. I informed Jen Patterson and Mitch Rosen of that this morning. If that part is not removed from Mike's web site, I'll email Rod Zimmerman and ask him to address it with Mike.

If Mike wants to call me an idiot or the worst media writer in the country, that's fine. Mike's the most insecure, thin-skinned person I've ever covered in 12 years at the Trib, so those insults do nothing but amuse me. But I think he crosses a line when he falsely claims that I sent him an email that rips Jen. Any clown can fill in an email address on a form. Maybe even Mike.

So thanks for your interest, your amusing comments and for seeing Mike for what he is.

Anyone else see any irony in the fact that Mike North is complaining that Teddy didn't contact him about this, but that he posted an email from Teddy submitted through the web form on his web site without verifying with Teddy that it was from him?

First of all I find that hard to believe, but if it is true then I'd question your efforts as a "Sports Media Reporter". A high profile sports gabber who is in a contract dispute and who has been the subject of 2 recent columns...yet you haven't listened in weeks? (Especially given that there is really only 1 other option that time of day). You admit to including a commentary in a column on a remark that you only heard second-hand?

Kind of makes me wonder if this is actually Teddy G.

Well, well, well . . . the "e-mail" that fueled Mike to carry this thing on for another week is a fake. Remember, he said he was going to "let it go," but "den Bee shows me dis e-mail dat came in from Teddy on Saturday an' so I has no choice . . ."

I think that e-mail sounded suspicious to many of us upon first hearing it. Then to top it off, it wasn't a true e-mail but a form response. You mean to tell me Mr. Media, Mr. Communications, Mr. Million Dollars a Year thought nothing of using something like that on the air to carry on this ridiculous "fight?" What a pathetic loser.

Well, if it isn't Teddy, our "impostor" has succeeded in getting Mike to take the e-mail off northtonorth.

Northtonorth.com removed the email that was supposedly from Teddy Greenstein. But I knew that either portions of it would be removed or the entire thing removed, so I saved it and sent it to my email early this morning if anyone wants to read it.

A possibility? Really? Ya think? Someone could have been crafty enough to take Teddy's e-mail address, which is printed all over the Trib and their website, and actually type it onto a form? Man, I have the chills even thinking that there are such intelligent, computer-savvy people out there!

First off, kudos to Teddy for having the stones to come here and address it. I threw a few things out there for your Ted and I had feeling you would stop by.

A credit to the guys here for stepping out and realising the email was a fake before Teddy confirmed it. The email looked like Costanza wrote it and was not a grammatically correct email you would see from a Northwestern grad. I would not be surprised if Pappy wrote it and sent it to himself.

Teddy lets get together and talk college football over a beer some time.. The guys here will attest that Im an amazing handi-capper.

Maybe we all should email North with fake emails!!
Maybe Jesse Jackson, Jerry Reinsdorf, etc...
