We aren't talking about the U.S. education system. We are talking about the Cuban education system. indoctrination isn't just a small part of it, it's the main driver. And me stating the obvious doesn't mean that I don't believe what you say about the U.S. education system.

I used to be a teacher, many moons ago, believe it ain't used for much.
Mostly social and societal engineering. A more soft way but still related to principles of the classical left and cultural Marxists. Subtle Critical Theory (which I admit is kind of contradictory) on a mass scale.
