That is not at all what I am arguing. I am stating that people are pretending this is more important to them on an individual basis. They are pretending this will somehow make an impact on them. They are going into an uproar over something because others are getting into an uproar over it...I would go so far as to assume that half of the people who have made a Yahoo or Facebook comment on the matter don't even know the details behind it. That being said, we shouldn't be killing ANYONE. This guy wasn't a threat to the public spending life in prison. How we think we have the right as a society to take lives is beyond me. I can't wrap my mind around killing people, even those we determine "deserve it". No one should be murdered. Not by a sicko like the fuck that Texas killed yesterday, nor by the state, because when the state/country kills someone, that is a reflection on her citizens. I don't want anything to do with murder on my conscience. It's not who I am.

And what happened to Troy Davis? He was executed for murdering a police officer, in all likelihood.
