My point is that for someone that has pretty strong opinions on a lot of topics you have never struck me as believing you are morally superior to someone that does not share your view. Here, you sound like you are. I think you have said you view it as revenge. Not everybody does, there are many different forms of justice, this could be considered justice and many feel that way.

Would life imprisonment be the same? Better? Worse?

Cairo, quick. Help with this crossword puzzle.

I need a seven-letter word that means "external opening of the lower intestine". You the right guy who can help?

Rhymes with glass bowl.

Revenge and vengence.
Life in prison would be better for society.
Spaulding, I've been very careful and clear to repeatedly state that these are MY opinions and MY feelings on the matter. If you feel that there is an aire of moral superiority that's probably just you. I'm not judging anyone for supporting the DP. All I said was that I as an individual don't want to be forced into taking part in the death of another human being, which is what the DP is in my humble opinion.

Sorry but I think cop killers are one of the few times that the death penalty is fully justified.

You said that you were rooting for his death because of Amnisty International, not because he was a cop killer.

Dude, no one wants to give this guy a medal, they just want to make sure justice has been served properly. If he in fact killed the cop, then kill him. People just want to know the 100% truth before sticking a needle in the guys arm. Is that a terrible thing to believe in?

He actually first said that he thought he did the crime - but then ALSO for the Amnesty Int part.

Total cubbiegirl vibe in his post though. It's not enough to just say something about Davis, he has to throw in the entire Amnesty International out of nowhere. That was the reason for my  .

Why? While I agree there should be a harsh penalty for deterrence the nature of the job is going to get some killed possibly by people that don't fully realize the consequences, "accident", or other circumstances. It's possible that some of those criminals could live somewhat productive lives if given the chance.

And I say that as a supporter of the death penalty and (generally speaking) police officers.

Someone who kills/assaults a Peace officer is striking directly at the safety force of society and they are basically no longer willing to abide by the rules we live in.
