I love Muhammad Ali.

I will always love Muhammad Ali. He will be the only G.O.A.T. in my book.

Ever.

There's a tradition to celebrate a great man's passing instead of mourning his death. I was half asleep, heard the news and smiled because I firmly believe that his great spirit is free from the handcuffs of Parkinsons & I'm happy for this beautiful man. I will always treasure what the man stood for and how it made me & millions of others feel about ourselves.

(Button 48) I got to meet him twice, each time I got so lucky, dozens & hundreds ran up to share in his presence. We all on 40th & King Drive or 51st & Lake Park felt absolutely loved by the man. Because I firmly believe we were.

I worked with a guy whose first name was Hittler. He was Brazilian and his parents thought of Hitler as a powerful man. He went by his middle name, Bueno, which I guess because Portugese is strange, was pronounced "Eh-no".

Tyson in his prime, pre-Buster Douglas, would've knocked Ali at-his-best the fuck out by the 5th round.

Tyson wouldn't have ever landed one. Ali was ridiculously slippery.

Y'all got to be crazy. Clay is his prime against Tyson in his prime...wouldn't even been a contest. Clay would've beat him like a redheaded step child. Tyson would've tried to bite an ear that wasn't there while being jabbed like a bitch. Clay would've toyed with him just to make it interesting. I mean, Christ, Cassius was a fucking beast in his 20s. Tyson wouldn't have stood a chance.

As a kid I remember Ali and seeing his fights on Wide World of Sports, but this was near the end and he was passed his glory days.
I cannot think of a more powerful and influential celebrity ever. His protest was loud, proud, strong, and most certainly valid.

I have my favorite celebrities, but Ali is in a class by himself. He was the Greatest.

Completely agree. Tyson best chance would be landing a punch early in the fight. Tyson wouldn't make it to the 6th round. I don't think Tyson could beat 70's Ali either.

Here's a story of Ali's training camp in Deer Lake - the next town over from Lake Wynonah. My neighbor was one of those kids who would wake up at go jogging behind Ali in the morning.
