I did hear that WKRP is hiring.

I can't get a signal from Ohio, that would be a great spot for him.....

Hey, if I watch The Crow and The Dark Night back to back will Brandon Lee and Heath Ledger come back to life?

No, it just means Brandon's the pitcher and Heath is the catcher...

Beardown, this requires a lengthy, thoughtful reply and I'll take time to do that over the weekend. I'd be happy to share with you cats what people here say... what Mike's colleagues have shared with me... as well as thoughts from some of the FMers with whom I have friendships. Bear(down) with me for a couple days. Off tomorrow and not near a keyboard.

So is this just an empty promise?

LOL, maybe Mac likes his holiday weekends off, SID. It says nothing about a Tuesday delivery...

It seems to me as if the fat lady is warming up her vocal cords and the writing is on the wall for Mike, Fred Huebner and everybody to pack their bags for good. From everything I've read in this forum, and to paraphrase a question Southwest Airlines asks in their commercials "Want to Get Away?" North's show is literally dying like another morning man that also used to work for CBS Radio named Howard Stern. Even though Stern signed a lucrative contract with Sirius Satellite Radio a few years ago, his former employers really stuck it to Stern before he left. Howard sounded like a man who wanted to get the hell out of terrestrial radio so bad, and literally wanted to get fired before his last CBS/Infinity contract expired. I wonder if Mike is starting to literally burn out after 16 years and three different frequencies at "The SCORE"...

Absolutely does. He even answered Mac's question on the air a day after Mac's original question. He concluded with something to the effect of I don't know how to work dem internets but Bebe will send you sumptin' Mac. Love ya.

I haven't forgotten about my "assignment." I started to punch it in tonight... but the High Lifes (or would that be "Lives?") have my fingers all over the keyboard. Gimme the benefit of the doubt. Long... enjoyable... awesome weekend and it continued with a lifelong buddy at the local saloon down the street in Dyer tonight.
