I'm not angry. I just think it's arrogant for her to call out the Score since they gave her a wonderfull starting job. A job that some never get.
Of course she should go with North. But he doesn't have anything yet. I don't think it's a guarentee that he will get something. I would have stayed just to stay in the radio business. She could have been at the Score until she found something better or until Pappy got something. But, of course, she can do what she wants. I just think she should have said "thanks" to her CBS bosses. Instead, she had this "how dare they" tone. Why burn that bridge? I guarentee you they are laughing at her. They'll never tell her that but they'll think twice if she applys at one of their other stations. These radio guys talk to one an other.
well, i dont work in radio, but if my boss got whacked, and the higher-ups then came to me and offered me a shit job for a fraction of the money, id be ready to go, too. we dont know what was said, maybe she has thanked them for the opportunity. just because they gave it to her, doesnt mean she owes it to them to stick it out doing a lousy job, that clearly she doesnt want.
i guess it would depend on her financial situation, how much money she would be making, what other kinds of things she wants to do. if her goal is to be on the radio, on the air, and cbs said there was no way that was going to happen, and pappy said "stick with me, and i will give you a shot", where is her best chance?
i didnt care for mike north at the score, i have next to no knowledge of jen patterson, but to me, she doesnt owe cbs a damn thing. you know how i thank my company? i come in every day and bust my ass, and come home dog tired to my family every night. and they thank me with a paycheck. after that, i dont owe them shit, and they dont owe me shit. if they did something like pull my job out from under me and made me some kind of shitty offer to stay, i wouldnt hang around thanking them for anything either. id grab what i saw as my best opportunity to do what i want to do, and say "SEEYA!'.
