OK, I do not see the need for assault weapons to be sold to the public. I feel a longer waiting period and a more complete investigation into the individuals who choose to buy a weapon would be nice.

Well that's better. Much better. I guess I'd be on board with that. but beyond criminal background checks, what else can you investigate? That doesn't take more than a few days.

I don't know,but maybe a list of references? It sounds funny,but having 4 or 5 people vouching for a guys responsibility with a weapon might not hurt.

That sounds a little unconstitutional to require someone to have family or friends to be able to exercise a constitutional right. I mean, there's people out there that don't have friends or family.
